Why do humans never get killed in TFs?

I must say, a part of me is shocked to see how casual people can talk about 'killing'.

It doesn't me, they aren't real people, just fictional characters.

But I just virtually slaughtered several thousand Soviet soldiers in Red alert 2.

as long as you can differentiate between fantasy and reality its all good.

Its simple really. In the G1 series, censors would never have allowed a human to be killed. It could have gotten Transformers cancelled. In BW, the same thing. While theres a few hints that it happened, we never se any protohumans die, althought they compensated by having alot of animals get eaten by the predacons. In RID, you've got the series aimed at the younger viewers so no one dies. And in the 3 recent ones, this is supposed to appeal to a broader spectrum of ages, so robots die but the humans don't, thereby satisfying the older need for some realism in a war zone but keeping th elittle kiddies safe from traumatic running to their mammies crying 'Kicker died'.....although would it have been so horrible if he had....God I hate him..anyway, its reaally so they can keep the show on air and sell the tpys to 6 year olds. If the humans started to die, it would be relegated along with animes like Full Metal Alchemist or Shaman King which would mean the kiddies wouldn't buy the toys.

'Zakath: welcome to the world of Cartharsis. :)

Is it little wonder why so many G1 fans prefer the comics over the cartoon? ;)

Plenty of people died in Dragon Ball, DBZ, and DBGT, and we all know how popular those series were and are, even among kids. I think that although I am opposed to killing people just for the sake of killing them the occasional death of a human on a show depicting a war is ok. As long as they stay away from the main characters no one is going to get too upset. I mean look at the first 10 minutes or so of the Ultimate Avengers movie, the part from WWII when they`re storming the Nazi base the soldiers are being blown away right and left. Guys getting blown out of the sky as they parachute in. So yeah it is ok to have them die in a way that you don`t really see too well.

I think you need to rewatch the cartoon network runs of those shows :tflaugh no one ever died... ever.  If Nappa blows up a plane you here someone say "Glad my shoot opened" when Vegeta destroyed a city he said, "To bad it was deserted."

No, in american afternoon cartoons, no one dies.

In DB/Z/GT, people drop like flies. Raditz killed a farmer. Vegeta blew up loads at the start of the world tournament, King Piccolo had loads of fighters killed, the list goes on. If people hadn't been killed, the whole bring people back to life aspect would have been defunct. But the db series, with its sex jokes and graphic violence, was originally meant for mid teens up. Cartoon network toned it down alot by removing any nudity, alot of the blood, the swearing ang Vegeta flipping people off. Transformers was meant for a young audience, so there are no human deaths allowed, although in Victory Jan's parents got killed, but thats an early japenese series so it doesn't count

DBZ and masterforce were not made in the U.S.

So the US is more sensitive when it comes to killing humans.

The US is more sensitive about most things.  Mostly because law makers and many parents seem to think TV should be a nanny and they shouldn't have to bother with watching what thier kids see.  They want it to be safe so they can ignore them and get on with what they are doing.  Sorry went ranting there.
