I only opened some of my RID collection. rest are in boxes. The only G1ers i can afford are the ones out of box, so none sealed here unless u count reissues.

My SW collection is roughly in the same state: most figs are bought and put unopened in several large boxes in my attic. A situation I really regret.

With my TF's the intention is to open them all. Only those figs I've bought for kitbashing purpose are left sealed until I get around to them. All others, are released from their prison slowly in the days following delivery. I usually get a bunch at once from on-line stores and don't open one every few days to keep my purchasing needs saturated until a next shipment is due.

In my delivery today, I also got cybertron Red alert with DVD. I said to myself that I would keep it boxed, But I keep picking it up & looking at it...

Any other toy/figure, I can understand keeping them boxed.  I have a couple of Tenjou Tenge PVCs that are still sealed, mainly because they'd be doing the same damn thing if they were opened.

I believe that TFs, on the other hand, should be opened and played with.  Otherwise, it defeats the whole purpose of them transforming at all.  The beauty of TFs is to figure out how they transform, and how well they do it.  As such, none of my TFs ever remain sealed in their boxes.  (Ok, other than my double of Alt Meister and Alt Tracks.  Thank God for Canadian Wal-Marts' $9.92 Alt sale 2 months ago. :D)

When I got back into collecting a couple of years ago, I planned on keeping everything sealed. I gathered a bunch of new Armada and Energon toys and kept them sealed...for a while. After about two months, I gave in and opened one, then another, then another. Now I don't have any of my toys sealed and have no plans to keep any sealed in the future. Looking back, I can't imagine what I was thinking in the beginning. I get so much more enjoyment out of playing with and posing my toys than I would by staring at them in their packages on a shelf.

I do see the beauty in a sealed toy, however, as long as you have a loose one around to play with.

I feel exactly the same way! I'd feel like I was punishing myself if I kept them all packaged.

The only one I have sealed is an original Primal and Megs 2-pack that I got in a trade. I want to open it, but then again, I don't. And then I do. I'm losing sleep over this! Argh!

Here's another question, though. Who keeps the boxes? I keep all the Alternator boxes, and though my MP-01 box is damaged, I still have it as well. All other boxes get picked up after a week or so on the floor and thrown away.

10% Of My Collection Is MISB. :D

Most Of The Time I'm Transforming My Newly Purchised Transformers On The Car Ride Home. :lol

I did, up until a couple of months ago. Even after I collapsed the boxes for storage, I still didn't have enough room, so I cut out the artwork, bios, and any other relevant information, and pitched the rest. It was kind of liberating.
