The fun of Transformers for me is personally transforming them. I could look at BT Skids Transformation sequence pics online all day but there's nothing more fun than Personally changing them and then changing em back and then transforming em one more time to bot mode, then posing them to put with it's fellow bots of the same line. SW, what you see is what you get then again I opened my Sigma 6 Storm Shadow even though he looked nice in his box. I just love posing my toys. The beauty of the Sigma 6 boxes is you can place your fig back in as if you never opened it, if you have the patience*has patience I just cant throw that wonderful packaging away. The clear plastic is thick enough to drink out of, if it were shaped like a cup.

Here's another question, though. Who keeps the boxes? I keep all the Alternator boxes, and though my MP-01 box is damaged, I still have it as well. All other boxes get picked up after a week or so on the floor and thrown away.

I did, up until a couple of months ago. Even after I collapsed the boxes for storage, I was still running out of room. So, I cut out the artwork, bios, and any other relevant information, and pitched the rest. It was kind of liberating.

i open it, but i cant throw or damage box...

Why buy something if you're not even going to open it? That's like getting married and never having sex with your wife.

im complete agreement. even when I blow an outragouse sum of money or a rare fig,.....say a luck draw......they last at most 5 minutes in box. and yeas this did happen. last week i opened up my black god fire convoy lucky draw.

I feel exactly the same way! I'd feel like I was punishing myself if I kept them all packaged.

The only one I have sealed is an original Primal and Megs 2-pack that I got in a trade. I want to open it, but then again, I don't. And then I do. I'm losing sleep over this! Argh!

except for the loose fig i bought on ebay, I have all my figs boxes and paper work. i use to keep the bubbles from my carded figs, but i ran out of closet room.

I tried to keep some guys MISB, but I just can't do it. I agree with Madhammer.  The whole virginity thing.  I too am guilty of transforming guys as soon as i get back in the truck from the store.  I was keeping the boxes for the longest time, but they take up too much room, so I did a big box overhaul aq few months ago....It felt very liberating:)  Besides, I don;t think theres alot of point in keeping the newer guys MISB.  having some MISB G1 is kinda cool, but MISB Cybertron or Armada or whatever, seems silly with people collecting them in Mass Quantities.

There is always the chance that there are kids out there who are big fans but their Parent(s) wont get them the onces they want or not at all. 20 Yrs from now some ones gonna be looking for em

I keep all the boxes to all my recent Transformers.  I have all my Alt boxes, as well as my GF/Cybertron ones; even the bubble+cards of the Basics and Deluxes from Cybertron.  :D

They take up Hell of a lot of room, but hey, I think it's more complete that way.

(See the pics in my collection at http://www.TFans.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=38680)

dont make toys play us.

open it, but dont damage it, the box is a part of transformers

Set your toys free!

Sometimes I study those inserts in attempts to figure out how some of the newer figures transform before actually laying hands on them and finding out (or seeing the pictures on various sites).  Unfortunately, this practice makes owning them much less satisfying once you've learned the trick.  But it's been helpful in allowing me to avoid what I feel are unsatisfying TFs.

I'm still holding off on my Red alert, but I came close to opening yesterday! Can I have some words of support?
