Sorry But I don't have the willpower to resist!!

The minute I get back to the car, I'm looking at the box and wondering how it transforms!!

I always use an exacto knife to open the boxes to keep them in nice shape. Why buy them and not transform and display them. I won't be seeing these anytime soon. I'm no the, the wife said I need to get ride of them, or the old ebay line, "need to make room for the baby." I always laugh my buns off to see comments like that. Grow a sac and tell the wife to sell some shoes. lol Luckily, my woman isn't like that. I got 3 guitars this year and she didn't say a word. ;)

for me, i like to see so many box display in my room.

so when i open it, i can put it back to box. they looks like MI(S)B.

They are Transformers and are meant to be transformed, even more so when it's a new toy.  I can see not opening a MISB G1 toy, or even something from BW, but not anything that's new.

I open all of my Alternators.  I do not, however, open the new G.I. Joe figures that I collect.  I don't see a point in opening those and they look really nice MOC.

Toys are toys.  I open them all, play with them, transform them, pose them, sometimes modify them a little, and just have fun with them.  Life's too short to obsess over the value your toys may have MISB ten or twenty years from now.  They're toys.  Use them for their intended purpose, I say.

Well said. I'm in complete agreement.

imo the only reason to keep a toy sealed is for profitable value. and if your buying tfs (or any other toy for that matter) for profit, then your collecting for the wrong reason. there are far better things to invest in and have a higher return than toys. and these toys being locked away for being kept sealed could be being enjoyed by a person who will actually enjoy these things for what they are. my collection is 99% opened and even if it werent, i have no plans to sell my collection unless the need for money is dire.

I really don't get the concept of buying a toy to keep in a box. Maybe it's just me.. :wtf

If you're talking about TF, I agree, but I keep some other toys MOC just because of their presentation.  For example, the new G.I. Joe figures.  I do open things like McFarlane figures and I always open my Marvel Legends figures.  I buy a lot of those and I don't even want to think about how much room they would take if they were MOC.

i dont open my mcfarlane figure either. mostly due to bad experiences when i did open them. like breaking. beside theyre pretty much for display purposes anyways what with the incredible lack of articulation and crazy detail. so id haveto agree with you on that one. and i open all my legends figure also.

i saw a very posable spawn figure a while ago but dont recall the name of it. an anniversary figure i think. i forgot about it but wanna look it up on ebay. you know the name?
