i voted 1 each... but this only applies to (what i consider) hard to get stuff like MP and reissues and any older stuff that would be more fragile n delicate to transform... as for any of the newer stuff go nuts :thumb

thats how i see things. but honestly its up to how you 'preserve' your collection. :hyuk

I voted "OPEN THEM ALL DAMN YOU!!!" I just don't see the point of keeping them sealed. Why buy something rare if you can't enjoy it??? If you can't afford to but that sealed G1 'bot & open it up to play with then just don't buy it! If you want it to keep it's value... why spend the money in the first place!?!

If you don't open them, you will not truly know whether you should regret buying the toy or not.

*has bought some regrettable TFs recently*

I like mine MIB, depending on the fig, so that I can still take it out and transform it and mess

Now MIB I understand, it's the MISB thing that twists my melon... :wtf

well if it's an original G1 Prime MISB I don't think it would be very hard to keep it MISB...

I open everything but my alts and 6 inch Titaniums. Some stuff I still keep in the box (Black G1 Megs, Black RM Victory Saber, CR Gigatron). I also have my 20th Prime (1st run) in the box, but it's been opened and posed many times.

So far the only things I have in the box are G1 reissue Soundwave and Jazz. Also 6" Titanium Rodimus and Starscream WW. I think I'll probably open the later two, since Rodimus looks like too much fun.

i open them then keep the boxes and contents (little bits of paper) if their japanese but for US stuff it all goes in the bin

I guess the whole appeal to me with transformers is buying one that looks really cool in robot form (ie good articulation and proportions) so I generally buy them for the purpose of posing them so they nearly always tend to get opened.

Sometimes I keep them sealed but not often, if it's g1 or something with poor articulation I might keep it boxed because it would look a little lame next to the other robots anyway (I have a few g1/g2 and mincon sets I haven't bothered opening)

I guess there's a certain visual appeal to having a few still in the boxes too because they can help give some variety to your display but I strongly believe that having walls full of sealed toys just looks like a toy shop!

I recently opened a g2 terradive and regretted it slightly but I know the only reason was because I was thinking it might be worth something one day if I had kept it sealed and that isn't why I collect at all.

I wouldn't pay a Blot load for a toy and then open it but that's purely because I wouldn't pay that much to begin with!
