I open all my figures are opened imediately unless I have some reason not to. Like when I purchased the powered up Autobot brothers, I felt no need to open them since I already had the regular versions open. Plus I figured they'd be more valuable for some reason. Also back when I first started collecting I bought some Transmetal 2 and Fuzors that were on clearance. They were so ugly that I just decided why open them I'm not going to display them and they're just going to get storaged. I also lucked up on a Beast wars Grimlock at a Kmart I never had Dinobot but I still resisted the urge to open it.

plus, if they're sealed in their boxes, they're protected from getting damaged.

i would not go that far but yes they would not be subject to scratching.

i have one MISB and that only cuz he was on clearence for a insanely low price plus i had one

you gotta open your transformers! they're toys, open them and enjoy them. If you don't, I'm sad :( :( :( :(

I see it as, if you're not going to ever sell them (i am not) than why bother keeping them in the boxes?

as far as boxes go, I used to keep everything (yes even the twist-ties and tape) that came in the box. Now, I just keep boxes, instructions, and card/pic and break down the boxes and put them in bigger boxes. Unicron holds all my Armada stuff.

I open them from their plastic/cardboard prison. MISB collectors are stupid ( Feel free to feel offended cause i dont care).

The only toys I would leave MISB would be vintage G1- G2, since taking them out of the box would take from their value, even though I have opened several other G1 toys.

I've always opened and played with my Transformers. I'm guilty of opening MISB packages that I've purchased, although they were things like Argentinian releases of G1 Swindle. If I ever found a MISB Metroplex for 20 bucks or something, I think I'd keep it that way.

I have around 400 transformers from RID, Armada, Energon, and exclusives and reissues. I only opened maybe 20. That is because those were duplicates I bought.

I keep most of my RID and Armada stuff MISB hoping they would be worth something one day but I don't see them going real high on ebay, but then again, I don't see anyone selling an entire RID or Armada collection that is still MISB.

I have opened half of my Energon thou. I'm starting to not see the point in keeping them MISB.

at this point I really think that people who buy toys and keep them MISB have several psychological problems. maybe they buy toys for some hidden, spiritual reason....but I can't see any reason for MISB collectors to exist other that insanity. at this point, please: send me all your MISB tfs, I'll send you back boxes with photos of your former misb tfs' boxes. it's the same, ain't it? :-D

LOL :tflaugh

Ya know, I sometimes think that over now and then.. but then I remember that usually I wouldn't consider parting with my TFs.. they're worth more in a box, but in the long run, I can't enjoy it as much. I think the only ones that I have not opened are BW Bonecrusher (that weird buffalo guy) and BW Poisonbite..
