If you want to sell them on eBay in twenty year, you should leave them in their package, however, if you want to enjoy your transformers, you should get them out of their twisters.

I have opened all my transformers and I transform them regularly. I have also kept all the boxes and cards, but I am considering to throw them away, since I never look at them anyway.

I don't understand how anyone but the truly obsessed can sit there with them in their original boxes for years.

After all, these aren't barbies or such -- they are meant to be played with.

Indeed, the only reason why I buy things MISB on ebay is to be sure all the parts are there, as many people have differing views of what "100% complete" means... Not to mention wear and tear.

OTOH, I always cringe when I see a condition rating on an ebay bid.. as that means I'm gonna be paying an inflated cost for a box I'm gonna rip open within minutes of getting it in.

Athenor

boxes i open, but after a couple of transformations stick back in the box for display. bubbled ones i will leave sealed, maybe buy two if i like the look of one as a figure.

i open them all and only keep the japanese boxes i pu them all in action poses then when i run out of spcae i put the werse in bexes under my bed

open them all, let the recycler sort them out!!!

and I do keep the instructions and little baggies

all of my NEW stuff (BinalTechs, Energon, Universe...etc...) i open and display. if i happen to snag a good deal on ebay for something that's still sealed, i leave it sealed. obviously you can't walk into TrU and pick up a MISB G1 (not including the re-issues), so i figure they display like trophies. plus, if they're sealed in their boxes, they're protected from getting damaged. vintage G1 stuff doesn't come cheap, so i don't like buying the same toy twice...
