Actually, this story doesn't necessarily contradict BW Neo... it will depend on whether the story will rule out the possibility of Magmatron returning to Cybertronian time and space for the events of BW Neo.

The Gathering does explain how Magmatron got his beast modes, which he already had at the beginning of BW Neo. If Magmatron were to defect or get killed, then that would seriously screw over canon. But neither has happened so far, so I say wait and see... I'm hoping that this comic will not only flesh out BW, but BWII and BW Neo as well.

Hear hear.

Thanks for the support 'Zakath :thumb

He's right.  Furman is the foremost authority on TFs,and if he says that 3H is not official continuity, then it's not.

No problem, MM.

THe story DOES contradict Japanese continuity, though. The Insects were maximals in japanese continuity, while in American continuity, like the praying Mantis (Can't be bothered to look up his name) is clearly Predacon.

Not that it matters, since Japanese continuity isn't American continuity. Hey, BW II and BW Neo don't even have the Hasbro logo on them! :P

I believe the mantis was Manterror.  And while yes it does contradict the continuity in Japan, it's with the American continuity in mind where the insects were Predacons and stuff.  My only question is, if Magmatron was released as a toy here in the states under the BM Dinobots banner, (and if I remember correctly said group were Maximals), then why switch him to the Predacon side unless they plan to somehow incorporate some of the BW II and BW Neo stories into this thus making sense why he's a Predacon, and lead it into a possible betrayal and the formation of the BM Dinobots.

THe BM Dinobots weren't allied with either the Maximals, or the Vehicons. Thanks to the Oracle, who mutated them, and thus gave them immunity to Megatron's Techno-Virus, they survived. But they weren't Maximals, and opposed Megatron.

That's what I can remember. Some sources claim that they are Predacons, but I can't really agree with that.

And, yeah, it was Manterror.

i still like snarl though...

wow

im surprised to hear all the complaints :P

as for continuity stuff? US Beast Wars goes like this : G1 toon [more or less], Beast Wars [TV show], Beast Machines [TV show. And if you wanted to include the BM Dinobots then those toys as well.]

Anything else outside of that [that includes all them 3H Botcon jibba-jabba] is not considered canon

As for japanese characters making appearances? Lio Convoy, Big Convoy, and them are only cameo. They've never been released here and if it wasnt for the internet you'd probably have never known those characters existed elsewhere. And the comic reflects that. The US audience has never seen the characters before so they're just like new characters here. But i'll stress again, what you see are just cameo appearances.  As for Magmatron, here's where you include the BM Dinobot toys. What we see could just be BM Magmatron before he goes back to BM Cybertron where he's forced himself to join the maximals [remembering that all that 3H Botcon crap doesnt exist in this canon]

so really, everything's only wrong in X-bob-land

xD

as for the Snarl stuff? i dunno. i'll have to ask Don

i like it alot i just hope they give prowl a good role if any. i also liked what they did with minor in #2 he seems less lame to me now (still not lovin the toy tho)

Hey.

I don't a Blot what the beasts are supposed to look like.

Unlike Infiltration this story is packed with the goods right from the get-go, and a as a loyal Tfan, I appreciate it.

BTW the colors really are great, Josh. No ass kissing intended.
