What do you think? Razorback spoke of a distraction moments before Grimlock showed up. Do you think that was the real Grimlock, or merely a hologram or something?

BW Grimlock is G1 Grimlock revived.

 

Here's his BW Bio:

In another era when wars were waged between Autobots and Decepticons, Grimlock was a stalwart defender of the heroic Autobot cause. Today, disguised as a vicious velociraptor, Grimlock continues to battle against interstellar tyranny as he fights the evil Predacons. After converting to robot mode, his spinning slasher sword - hidden within his tail - slices through the Predacon legions. And when the attack is over, you can usually find him flossing his fangs with the internal wiring of his battle-beaten enemies.

 

They even have him with the stunted speech like the original Grimlock...like the last line of the issue "Me...GRIMLOCK!"

 

BTW, I hope they do an ongoing series.  It's really good.  I have to say this some of Don and Simon's better works.

They did go into the ark...  My razor knew a location to a blank or ark got that danger vibe, and set out grimlock......

so grimlock had a whole life he never told/didn't lnow about before G1.

The end of the letercol of issue 3 said there was a big announcement at the end of the mini.  I'm guessing there'll be another mini soon, or they'll start an ongoing.  I don't think the gathering will turn into an ongoing though.  Never including the cartoon cast (or including them rarely) would be a bad move, IMO.

This miniseries is really looking awesome. With the addition of the mutants to transmetal 2, they have pretty much covered aspect of beast wars in three issues. WOW. Only thing missing is the VOK. With a whole 'nother issue in waiting you never know........

 

About grimlock, he looks a little big to be a raptor, but more of a mis-sized T-rex. That toy will always look like the repaint of dinobot that it is.

What's the big deal with Transtech anyway.  It was unproduced, and what I've seen of the prototypes, it looked kind of stupid.
