The guy's name is Lio Convoy, not Leo Convoy (alot of people are saying that).

And 'screamer answered my other question.

 

Picked up #2 today, wow it was freaking cool!

-one minor quibble, why was Magmatron a Giganotosaurus in #1 but a T.rex in#2?

No, he was definately a carcharodontosaurine, either Giganotosaurus carolinii or Carcarodontosaurus saharicus in issue 1. He has that big ol' carcharodontosaurine head (compared to the robust T.rex head in issue 2) and he's got three fingers on each hand in issue 1 (two in issue 2).
