Well I dont think the animation is better..its too Japanese anime for my liking but I understand that this is where most cartoons are coming from.

Beast wars is the only TF cartoon done in the states if im not mistaken. G1 is defintely japanese.

BW & BM were done in Canada, by a company called "Mainframe," who also did "Reboot".

If it is finished, then they need to release that on DVD too. Cartoon Network left off with Megabyte getting out of the Web and causing all kinds of havoc. They really left us hanging there.

I think it was on FOX Kids. If so, you can probably thank them for dropping the series. They're famous for dumping their good shows. *shrug*

Now that I think about it more, I think it was montreal, or maybe toronto. I believe i thought edmonton because i was thinking of those dentist guys who made baldurs gate
