TFW2005 folks have found them in MD, PA & IL. Also, there is a 20% coupon on TRU's Facebook page that expires on 8/14. If your store gets them in by then, you can get him for $48. =)

yeah, i feel bad for the people living in san antonio. i'd be pissed if someone went in and bought practically all of a long awaited store exclusive at my local toys r us, especially seeing as how scarce MP grimlock was to come by.

MP Grimlock was scarce there?? Wow... he... well, I wouldn't exactly say shelf warmed, but he didn't fly off the shelves either. He did move reasonably quickish, but certainly not like MP Starscream who was the fastest selling MP I've ever seen! Erm, not Ghost Starscream though... that overpriced POS is still shelfwarming, even after discount! :P

 

Anyway, a mate of mine SMSed me last Saturday morning letting me know that he'd sighted MP Rodimus Prime at a TRU near me, and I went there after lunch time and there were still quite a few there. I haven't been back there since so I don't know how many they have left there and I haven't checked out any other TRUs since. I dunno about overseas, but here MP Rodimus is pretty cheap at $80... I don't remember a Masterpiece toy being that price since Ultra Magnus. MP Grimlock was about $150, so at $60 cheaper than that it wouldn't surprise me if Rodimus sold quickly. Ultra Magnus didn't sell fast, but then I guess cos not many people were interested in a white repaint Optimus Prime (I know I wasn't)... whereas Rodimus is a whole new mould.

 

Well, I personally rushed over to my nearest TRU as soon as I could after finding out it was there... I recommend if people really want this toy, if you see it, or hear about it being at your local TRU - don't delay. :)
