  1. There is a review of the OS KO MMC Feral Rex, aka Predaking, on youtube:
  2. The is a work in progress Nova Prime. Still has a few things to iron out.
  3. Good news for all you Texas residents!! We will be hosting our very own Robot / Sci Fi themed convention here in San Antonio, TX!! We're hosting a bot themed convention set for 7 - 8 May 2016. From the folks that organized Alamo City Comic Convention (ACCC), we are holding a robot themed convention dubbed, Cyber City Con (CCC) here in the heart of Texas. ACCC saw an amazing attendance of 76k people with celebrities including Ray Park, Stan "The Man" Lee, and vendors Heroes and Fantasies, Toydojo.com, as well as Geekculture and many more. Transformers is huge for the anime and “bot” community and a central part of the conventions theme. So if you are interested in coming down to San Antonio, TX for Cyber City Con venture out to the links below. Each month we will be updating with guests, vendors, and convention events. For more information check out the links below: https://www.facebook.com/CYBERCITYCON/ http://cybercitycon.com/
  4. This upper torso was inspired by one of the comic versions mixed with the original TV series Omega Supreme. Going to make a more G1 looking toy torso also. The legs and head are already printable but the torso and thighs are jus the outer shell and would print solid if I uploaded them.
  5. Been awhile. Started using some nice joint push/pull and edge beveling tools. Instead of finishing my custom Omega Supreme from the first go I'm going to attempt to make it all from Shapeways printed parts. WSF polished at home using a dremel and a poly brush wheel. Below is my work so far on the exterior of the feet. It's been slimmed down a bit from the picture. At four inches high each lower leg portion in WSF is $52.
  6. Sweet, where can I get some!! The original is grossely overpriced for its size.
  7. Price? I'm so glad I picked up multiple Generations G2 Primes.
  8. Finally getting the new triple changers in the San Antonio area. Opened a box of Generations Voyagers. Bought 1 Blitzwing and 1 Springer, left 1 Blitzwing and 1 Springer at 1604 and Culebra WalMart.
  9. Really wish Hasbro would make the entire Dinobot team

  10. No it's not a transformation difference. The whole thing is different from the first mold that Starscream and Skywarp were released in. IMHO it's way better this time around. Less kibble, better head, better feet, just better all around then the first run. Couldn't tell you the specifics on which run is what, but the mold that is available on ToysRUs .com is strides better then the initial mold that came out years ago.
  11. LOL, the yellow does look brighter in these pics. Gotta pull out my good camera and shoot some better ones. I didn't go with a game accurate color of gold but instead wanted a more G1 cartoon color.
  12. Was definetly thinking about RepRap for internal pieces and higher detail parts finished in a post process or Shapeways print for the exterior. Yeah, low cost home printers aren't up to snuff for the detail your producing. Soon though. I'd like to make parts that people can use at home during their customizations. Custom heads, feet, chest pieces etc. Really want to make a bracket system where a combiner can be made without having to cut up the original piece too much. Definetly want to get into the accessories like Fakebuster without reproducing the same things that he's making and without the overhead. It's what I love about the Shapeways model for a designer. We don't have to have an inventory and place orders. If Procustomizer Guy wants to use our 3d modelled head on his next commission then he places the order and it's delivered 3 weeks later. White Strong Flixible sucks up a ton of paint. I want to get a good sealing mixture down that takes care of this upfront so once paint is applied it doesn't take a million coats to get a nice finish. One excuse I give to the wife (for a 3d printer) is that our daughter is heading to a Science and Engineering Academy for high school next year. It's faster for her to print parts at home then it is going to be waiting at school for the parts to be printed. Almost have her pegged. She would probably go for me piecing it together opposed to buying a $2000+ finished model.
  13. A bit more? Man that's alot more. Guess 3-4 weeks is ok on my budget. Think I'll order all the pieces and build one of the RepRap models. That way I can print some of the larger pieces at home and then finish it in a solution bath. We'll see. I have a faceshield coming that will be printed in Frosted Detail and a remodelled helmet/head coming. The next thing will be the Prime armor. As soon as I'm done with a few other projects around the house. Going to try to seal the white strong flexible in a post processing solution. Read about superglue and acetone or floor polyurathane. Any thoughts? I just happen to have a gallon of floor poly in the garage.
  14. Hopefully this stays on the market for a little bit. I want two of these.
  15. The nylon that white strong flexible prints in is very strong. I peeled the bottom off since it was thinned on the edges. Going to use that to test some mixtures. The turret rotation point and connection on the end worked great. Nice and tight. Will post results of different solutions on the nylon after some research and tests. Still, it would be real nice to get a printer for the house and use a finishing solution to polish it out instead of waiting 3 - 4 weeks for a print job to come in the mail. Print to ship takes too long with Shapeways. Wonder if there is another company that has sprung up yet to do the same thing.
  16. So, it needs some digital rework. Part of the face is missing and some of the faces were thin but I'll still use it on my Omega Custom. This is one of the annoying things I've read about the Shapeways software. The parts upload and look fine and then the actual prints come out different. Ran the various clean up tools on the model and it didn't fix the problem faces so on the next version I'll have to keep these wall thickness issues in mind. Going to see how a couple of soulutions change the surface of the nylon print. One of the 3d printer startups are placing their models into a solution bath and it modifies the surface to be smoother and appear higher in definition. I personnally don't like the powdered surface look on the models and would like a smoother version prior to paint application. The 3d Refiner finishes off models by placing the model into a constant stream under a solution bath and spins it for even coverage. http://www.3dprinter.net/save-hours-of-printing-time-with-the-3d-refiner
  17. Not sure. I posted these before checking into making an album in the gallery. Definetly need to pull out the good camera and set up better lighting for a gallery. Maybe pick up one of those led attachments for the front end of the lens on my Pentax K-01. Next up will be pics of the Motormaster and a Nemesis Prime repaint. Motormaster was done during Frenzy Rumbles first customizing class. The Nemesis Prime was a repaint that I did with paint pens back in 2002-2003 when the Armada line was out.
  18. Alright, this is a FOC Grimlock Custom that I'm working on while participating in Frenzy Rumble's second class. Not much left except the head and a few more touchups.
