I would say... that Optimus' Death in the '86 film had the biggest actual effect on me, as I was still in like... first or second grade when I saw that movie.

However, I would say that the BEST death was Dinobot's; words can not describe how awesome and emotional that episode was.

Optimus Prime 1986.

I voted for Dinobot

I wasn't old enough to understand....But I knew he died, and somehow it didn't phase me. It wasn't untill I was older that I saw Return of Opitmus Prime.

And it's kinda bad when Japan took over the story line they killed american prime, made Powermaster prime, then killed him to rebuild him into Victory Leo, who btw is crazy because of the reconstruction. If you just kill someone then bring them back, it's pointless. Just Like Dragonball Z.

I went with Dinobot. That cartoon was so what a tf cartoon should be. And it came out of nowhere. I never expected them to kill off Dinobot.

That's true, I didn't think they would kill any of the TFs anymore. Because of what happend in the 80s at OPdeath I thought no one would ever let that happen. But I guess it's a good way for kids to learn about death.

G1 Scorponok's death was the most profound to me.

As a Decepticon, especially Decepticon commander, he was an unlikely hero. His self-sacrifice was incredibly heroic and noble. The way he died in Optimus Prime's arms was quite emotionally moving to me. Much more so than Dinobot's death.
