I figure it this way, everyone scream and rags on AEC, everyone scream and rags on Movie. They had their flaws that I take in stride, but still people don't let up to the point where you know the hate by heart.

 

Thats how I feel about Animated especial when it comes to the half pint gorilla soundwave. The series sucked, the toys sucked (well there were a couple good ones). I absolutely don't understand all the fan fair for this bottom feeder series.

 

Unlike the haters for AEC & Movie though I'm slightly more civil in my distain, cause again, I'm in my right ;)

As you said your entitled to your distain, and as you said youself your being civil about it unlike some who would just say something along the lines of "AnImAtED SUX, G-ONE Iz Better", and I have seen some people post like that before. Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to the shows, it's like religion, just because you believe in it doesn't mean everyone else has too.

 

I for one didn't mind Animated, it had it's ups and downs but overall I thought it was ok, I can see why some people liked it alot because of all the little references here and there but overall it was an ok show, plus it was the first animated series for quite a while that actually had Grimlock in it, RID Grimlock NEVER EXISTED!!!!!

 

Now for me I really did not care for the Energon series, I liked Armada and was ok with Cybertron but Energon just didn't do it for me, I didn't like the animation, I didn't like any of the character designs and the whole "power-link" combinations looked pretty awful to me. Oh and Kicker.....he's my least favorite human character in the entire Transformers universe.

Oh dude, no need to explain, it's definatley acceptable, even to somebody who loves Animated (me). I was (and I know Breaker was) just ribbing ya.

Ok Liege just out of curiousity which animated figures do you like? I'm sure you must have dozens of Voyager Starscream by now :P

starscream was a har away from being a slow motion/BB Gun clip on Youtube but Nelo gave him a home instead.

 

The Animated figures I like,

Lugnut (mainly for the staff)

Lockdown although after the movie one up...

Leader Megatron

Leader Ultra Magnus

Blurr

Jazz

Both Prowls

Blackarachnia (although I still prefer the BM version)

Swoop (even with the ceap plastic)

Slag (IDK)

Both deluxe Primes

 

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem giving credit where it's due. Even the figures listed I've had problems with. I had to return Lockdown 4 times, and WTF is with the parts that don't store!?!

 

Overall though, even concerning the figures I like, I wish they'd all get the Lockdown kickass movie treatment!

ironicly I do have about a dozen TF1 Starscreams :P

the shuttle crew dying was pretty bad

but the way Galvatron did in Starscream blew my mind

Primes death in the original animated movie shocked me, I held back from crying. Starscreams death however, nearly got me kicked out of the theater, I yelled finally got what he fuckin deserved. Dinobots death I don't remember. and Prowls death was meh!

 

Forgot, though I saw TF2 at the alamo drafthouse and had a nice buzz going, embarassed my wife for saying, not fuckin again, when prime got backstabbed by Megatron
