Fans Project Bruticus Upgrade sets up for preorder on BBTS

Recommended Posts

You can proeorder both at Robotkingdom for $89.90: link

This is only the second time I've preordered a toy.

And Liege, I just ordered the new anime Battle Rollar from them, too. I passed on it the first time, but then when I found out everything it could do I was so glad to see the mold coming out again.

Shipping from Robot Kingdom brings the total (the the States anyways) to $116.26...so it's probably not going to matter if you get it as a "bundle" or separately through someone else when it's all said and done. I want these so freaking bad, but I don't know if I can justify that price with my current financial situation. Man this sucks! I guess it's time to start Ebaying off the stuff I don't want as much!

Normaly RK owns domestic online retailers with items like this. FP dictates their price though to retailers, so concerning their items, a site like BBTS or TFSource would be better

Either way, I'm debating. I'd really like this upgrade, but for the same amount I can get a new backyard firepit & hammock.

It's a tough one. I either add to my collection, or create a cozy situation for a girl invited over :sneak

I want it but not sure if to wait for awhile on eBay or buy it outright

It's kind of unfortunate they decided to release these as two sets instead of one. My guess is though that TFsource will bundle them as a special. I'm curios about the coloring though. Can this set be used with the Energon set for example? I'm curious about that because the Energon Onslaught has more accurate G1 coloring and some collectors may want that. I think a good mix and match might look good. It would be interesting if TF Source did a special recolor for the Energon set, sort of like they did with the Snowman set for Superion.

They look nice, but only £15 each nice. They are way over charging for these items. Not worth it at all. They get away with it though, as idiots and their money are so easly parted.

Now not for anything, $50 for a scout, even a custom scout is a bit much. FP is the most popular and profitable upgrade company out there, they should be able to do better. I think about the very intricate and infinitly versatile TFC Battle Rollar that can be sold for $36 with a LED weapon when I write this

I don't know if that's a fair comparison though - as others have mentioned, what you save in ordering from Robot Kingdom, you end up in paying in shipping (and I say this as someone who did exactly that, ordering my own Battle Rollar from them).

I say this with the greatest due respect: I don't think you know how much it costs to design, build, and manufacture a professional quality figure.

When I ordered my Battle Rollar from them it came out to about $10 less then the BBTS start price even with shipping.

If it's a product from a company like Fansproject who dictates price, your better off just ordering from a domestic site. More often then not though on imports and upgrades, RK even with the higher shipping still beats the start price at BBTS & TFSource

Beyond the plug for RK, if TFC can make a figure that versatile that can be sold for only $35, it sucks knowing a scout with some plastic bits is gonna cost $50 and you still have to ship it. What sucks even more is if you want the full effect, you'll have to do that twice

I want a combo price. Then I'll most likely double up on that.

This is a very nice set and is definitely hard to resist, especially if you are a combiner, let alone a Bruticus fan.

$70 - $80 for a combo set seems reasonable to me.
