Personally i think THISis going to be the next show/comic/toyline!

 

Ive been known to be psychic more then not. But its nov 5TH! i believe they will tell us more.

The arm kibble kills Classics Prime for me, otherwise, he pretty much fits the bill.

 

One thing that bugs me about modern Primes that shouldn't be an issue anymore is no matrix. I can see if it's something revalent to the story where Prime doesn't have one, but if they're doing a in command Optimus, he should have one.

 

Just venting

 

Now I know alot of people keep saying make Megatron a tank, and it is a fitting alt. The idea of a gun is nostalgic and cool when they can get it to work. I'm saying keep him a gun, I don't want a tank, when he can be something like this...

 

 

 

It keeps the same gun shape on a size that is not going to insult the robot. I know as a placement weapon he wouldn't be able to manuver like a tank, but I always thought, Megatron shouldn't and wouldn't want to!

 

I can see something that bad ass now planting himself on the front of a charging line laying down massive amounts of firepower as his armies swarm from behind him and take out whatever survivors are left, then transforming to view the reckage up close.

 

That would be cool!

 

Two words.

That is the extremely BEST idea ive heard to keep his roots and element of G1. :con Nice one homie! Send that to Hasbro TF designer himself (although by the looks of all that art, and from what i get the idea they are trying to take TFs into 2010, Megs seems to be figured out as his iconic exact bot look)

Honestly, with the new movie on the horizon in 2011, and nothing announced yet, can we be certain how the new series would play out? Universe is a possibility, but I've always felt that the classics capitalized on the IDW comics as well as nostalgia (The readily available G1 dvds couldn't hurt either). So really, unless Universe took over as the main line until movie 3 comes out, what could they do with a short window of time?

 

They could already have the new series in development and just have kept it's development under wraps until time for announcement(it's possible, nobody knew much about Animated aside from Optimus was going to be younger than Ultra Magnus until shortly before BotCon 07). We don't really know, the closest we have is the whole 'Power Core Combiners' things recently and that could turn out to be anything. Remember when Armada was rumored to be everything and anything that it wasn't until it was revealed (turns out, most of those rumors ended up in Universe 1.0 oddly enough)?

 

I don't see Hasbro starting a show and ending it before the next movie unless it ties in somehow(considering the newer comic art looks pretty similar to the movie designs)unless it's already been in development and we've had nothing to go on. It's just not like Hasbro lately to continue a cartoon series after a movie line. I'm thinking there is a strong possibility of re-runs of shows Hasbro has broadcast rights to running alongside whatever toy line is out until movie 3. They showed re-runs of Cybertron the entire time of Classics 1.0 until the movie started up after all.

remember that Animated was created as a fall back in case the movie failed. It's possible that they might want to create another series in case the 3rd movie flops dismally - and even if it doesn't, they're going to need something for 2012, unless Paramount wants to do a fourth movie.

I was watching Cartoon Network the other day and they made a show about the Marvel Superhero Squad. Maybe the next show will be about the transformers version of the product, the Robot Heroes :eek

Animated was close enough foe that. Especialy after the Go-Bots one shot.

 

SHS is a friggin awesome show though. Makes me happy I have a DVR. It's a perfect balance between kid friendly fun, and adult enjoyable, in a specificly cartoonie show.

TFers come to earth... and their battle among each other continues.... however... they are not the massive machines that hide all around us... as vehicles and such... they hide around us, because we can't see them. They are no bigger than a pencil lead, and are in fact nanobots. The universe they deal in (landed in) is an actual military research installation that happens to be experimenting with nontechnology. Not only do they fight each other, but on occassion find themselves running for their life and even fighting together to survive against the human's technology - that what it lacks in consciousness, more than makes up for in durability and relentlessness. I think the new series should be based off of the classics lines. They both have a new look for the kids and the classic G1 feel for us older kids. I would also love to see an adult based cartoon for TF similar to the GIJOE resolute series, something to be seen at night on adult swim.

(crashes the party)

 

Remember that this is going to be ran by Discovery Kids. Therefore humans will be in the next one... human kids at that. It's inescapable. Therefore, it will also be on Earth. Sad to say, but I'll wager money on it. It will also be an all new series.

 

If you want something G1-esque with no humans and no Earth, beg SciFi channel to buy rights. It'll be the only way :(
