birth of new decepticons

Recommended Posts

The "birth" of Transformers differs from series to series.

G1 they were manufactured

G2 they were rebuilt or manufactured/they also discovered a type of cell division in anchent bots

Beast Wars the manufacturing was refined and Protoforms were introduced

AEC who cares

Animated shows us more versatile protoforms

Movie, seems like bots are created for either Allspark energy and come out mindless, or have a "hatchling" Protoform type start.

How Transformers have Decendats is beyond me, I have theories. I like to think of them as manufactured though. If that can include how are formed in an egg or pod, cause who knows how an alien would manufacture anything!?!

For this here topic, i'd just say find what works for you and run with it...

Tramp, what part of shut up, no-one cares do you not get? When people say "Transformers don't have sex and make babies", that isn't a statement of opinion, it's a statement of FACT. Nowhere in Canon does it pointblank state Transformers make babies. The only time it's ever mentioned is in those crackpot little theories that you keep forcing down everyone's thraots that have been rubbished by absolutely everyone, including Transformers Authority Chris McFeely, who knows a damn lot more about Transformers than you do.

Except that we see Transformer babies in canon. We see them in the last issue of Victory, we see them in the original movie, and we even see some hatching in RotF. If you don't like what I have to say don't read my posts. And, for then recod Damolisher, you don't know that Transformers can't procreate. There is numerous pieces of evidence which supports it and nothing in canon says flat out that they can't. It's been purposely left vague.

Chris McFeely says it doesn't happen, so it doesn't happen. I'm going to trust a guy who actually gets paid to do commentary on Transformers DVDs, and who actually reads/watches the things he talks about, rather than quoting mangas he's never even read. Unlike you, Chris actually knows what he talks about, he isn't some obnoxious blowhard who keeps trying to force people to his bizarre little point of view which no-one agrees with. You have no proof that Transformers don't build children or whatever and place sparks or the equivalent if that continuity has no sparks in there. Here's how we know Transformers don't procreate: THEY ARE ROBOTS! In every single continuity, the only way that Transformers have been created is by artificial means. Get your fat head around this fact.

Everyone knows what you think, and no-one cares. Stop forcing your little "Robosex" opinion on everyone. It's pathetic.

Actually Damolisher, I have read the manga in question. I have watched just about every episode of G1, I have read most (if not all) of the original comics and the DW material, and , in fact, own them all. McFeely is a fan, just like you and I. No more, no less.

Secondly, Transformers are not just robots. Get that through your head. Canon specifically states that Transformers are life forms. They are not ordinary robots. As Optimus said in the first movie, "We are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron." They're made up of self-replicating cells. They have DNA. Ordinary Earth robots don't have that. In Marvel they could reproduce asexually through cellular division. There is no reason why Transformers in the other continuites, where they had two distinct sexes, could not reproduce through the union of male and female. MtMtE #8 by DW also stated flat out that Transformers had other potential methods of procreation that didn't require the use of factory-built protoforms imbued with a Spark. Thus, canon does show us natural methods of procreation, they are not all built. So being robotic is not a limiter on how they can create new life.

As for how do we know that the babies weren't built? Simple. It would be pointless to do so when they can just as easily build a fully grown adult body instead. The only reason for them to be small babies is if they had to grow inside their mothers or inside of an "egg" laid by their mothers, and there simply isn't enough room inside her body for offspring to grow to full maturity. It's purely a matter of space. Not only that, but all of the Transformer children we see had mothers and fathers, whereas all of the Transformers who were built didn't and were all created as fully grown adults. There is a clear and obvious difference between them.

Simply put, Transformers are not just robots. They are living organisms that have many options for creating new life which includes both natural and artificial means. They are not limited to only constructing bodies or protoforms and imbuing them with a Spark. mArvel showed them reproducing through budding, the original '86 movie, the children's story the Story of Wheelei, the Wild Boy of Quitesson, and Victory #10 showed males and females married and having children, RotF showed them hatching from some sort of eggs.

You don't like the idea, that's fine. You can't stand me. Oh well. I'm not here to have a fight with you Damolisher, so instead of repeatedly bashing me just let it drop. Or, better yet, just don't read my posts.

Oh, and for the record, I know several people who do agree with me. Most of them over at Deviant Art.

I do not understand why we need to explain all this unnecessary history of the transformers. Its like explaining Jedi powers, which is apparently by midichlorians. (FRAK YOU LUCAS!!!!)

Regardless, I mean there is nothing wrong with making theories about the procreation of Transformers. However when it results in pointless squabble, where is the fun in that?

Anyways ANY theory CAN be correct because the Transformers universe is never really consistent (like in any franchise). Plus it's FICTIONAL so they could procreate through magic for all we know.

I think this is a great issue for debate, and i dont get why it always results in personal attacks whenever this subject is brought up. And personally, i agree with Tramp on this one. There is too much supporting evidence all across continuities.

Oh, yeah, Deviantart, because that place isn't riddled with sexual deviants and morons. OK, Tramp, for the last time: SHUT UP. I DON'T CARE. Me telling you that it doesn't happen is not shorthand for "Tramp, please keep repeating the same drivel you've been repeating for years which no-one listens to." It means "Shut the hell up, you're wrong."

Like I said: I'm going to listen to people like Chris McFeely who are actually involved with Transformers more than I'm going to listen to some arrogant screw-up who can't get his fat head around the fact that no-one ever listens to him because nobody cares what he thinks.

Tramp, you can keep arguing with everyone all you want. The point is, there are more people who disagree with you and keep telling you you're wrong than people who agree with you. And based on that, if you didn't think so damn highly of yourself (Which you shouldn't, just for the record) you'd come to the logical conclusion that you're wrong.

Damolisher -- seriously, if you want to disagree with someone - feel free to do so. But there is no reason for the adolescent commands of "shut up." He is free to express his opinions - whether anyone agrees or disagrees.

And truth be told, even if I disagree with him on areas, at least he is trying to support his opinion with evidence, examples and logical conclusions. I may (and do) disagree with some of his logical steps (for example, in the ROTF there are no female bots introduced or discussed on the Satern moon; the appearance of them on earth does not automatically mean they were there; there is a logical jump being made there that is not based on actual evidenced but a 'possible leap' -- thus it could point just as much to alien-esque methods than male/female procreation or something else entirely).

I do think they leave it vague, i merely wished they left it out all together. I can see it in comics and in media more designed for deeper tf fandom and followers/nerds/etc -- but for the mass appeal MOVIE - i wish they would have left it completely out. I mean, for a movie 2 1/2 hours long, surely that was worth being cut in editing. It added nothing at all. But that's my opinion.

Regardless, you are offering nothing at all except personal attacks and commands of silence. It is extremely juvenile. If you don't care, then stop posting to merely make a personal attack. If you have a differing opinion, feel free to post it along with any supporting evidence you may have -- but please, stop the personal attacks. It makes you look foolish, and brings down the thread and the board. In a large group of people, there will be differing opinions. Show some class and agree to disagree and exercise some common courteousy please.

I think this is a great issue for debate, and i dont get why it always results in personal attacks whenever this subject is brought up. And personally, i agree with Tramp on this one. There is too much supporting evidence all across continuities.

Thank you "That White Prime Rop off". I like the screen name by the way. And Auro, you make a very good point. Anything is indeed possible, that includes robotic life being capable of procreation though the union of male and female. It's happened in more than one story, and not just Transformers. Regardless, this is supposed to be about the Deceptiocn hatchlings anyway.

Oh, and Damolisher, there is no concrete canon proof that I am wrong, just fans' interpretations of the materials. Nothing in canon, states that Transformers cannot reproduce through the union of male and female, and have babies. There is a lot of evidnece which actually supports it's possiblity that some fans (such as yourself) choose to deliberately ignore because it doesn't fit into your narrow-minded view of what "robots" should be capable of and you find the idea repulsive. That does not make it wrong. You don't like it, fine, but don't come into a thread where people are having a civil discussion and start telling me to shut up becauxse you don't want to read what I have to say. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read my posts. It's that simple.

Hey, here's a nice idea, though. Stop forcing your opinions on people, cos that'd work too! Here's the deal, and it's like I said: People who know more than you keep telling you you're wrong. Which clearly means (Shock horror!) You're wrong. It's actually kinda simple. You just need to stop this "I'm Tramp, and I'm always right" kick you're on. Ditto with the hypocracy. If you don't like people saying "Transformers don't make babies", again, like I said, when they write that, it isn't shorthand for "Tramp, please come write the usual TL;dr BS that's never changed anyone's opinions before!"

And Sgt-York, the thing is, when he's posted the same annoying little rant on Seibertron, Tfarchive, the IDW Forums, Don Murphy's Boards and a few other places, it gets a little tiring hearing it over, and over, and over again. He's even been told by everyone on the TFwiki he's wrong. The only people who actually seem to agree with him are the little perverts who post on Deviantart. It gets a little frustrating when you have about 98 percent of Transformers fandom telling him he's wrong (Based on the people who've told him he's wrong elsewhere, too.) and he still won't get it through his fat head that he's wrong. He even once wrote Simon Furman a letter as to why Furman is wrong about there being no real need for female Transformers. Doesn't that seem a little arrogant to you?

Damolisher. The only person forcing anything down anyone's throat right now is you. Everyone else in this thread is having a civil discussion. You are the only one making personal attacks, telling people to shut up, etc. As Sgt York said, You aren't adding anything to the conversation. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read my posts.

Oh, and Damolisher, before you continue bashing Deviant Art, remember that most of the artists who draw the actual IDW TF comics are members of Deviant Art including Alex Milne among others. By insulting Deviant Art, you're also insulting them.
