ROTF Constructicons

Recommended Posts

*after reading 33 pages of complaints, comments, and everything else ROTF EVEN Unicron* ...

I know in MY theater they took out the part where Megs was built from other Decepticons :( Also the volume was SO freakin low that i could BARELY hear it and had to ask them to turn it up. :roll But all in all, it was a decent movie, although i like TF1 better for the better realism and shit.

I think the problem here was the writing strike. Pure and simple. Cuz the writing was shown to be short lived in ROTF. Still im glad they made the movie cuz it was still fun to watch. I just need to see it in a better theater like the one my dad & I went to for the 1st one. We also watched the 2nd one but it was in my small hown town. REALLY small town.

I like the link on page 32 of the constructicons and all the arguements on pages 1-13 as well. Anyways, im betting they DO make the rest of the transforming constructicons just due in time. And theyre not telling us the details yet thus making it look like the wont. But in time, they will.

Would love for you to be right! :thumb

I just ordered Devastator for $65 (see the News forum). I'll have to try sticking of the transforming Constructicons in it...

I saw where you posted...knew you'd probably hit this just for that purpose! :thumb

While it's a much better deal...I'm still wrestling with even shelling out that much for him...well, that and I don't have that money to spend right now, nor do I have a place to house that big chunk o' plastic! :D

Good luck, though...and please post some pics as you progress with it!

(Please Excuse the Bitter cynicism...)

Well, I was at Wal-mart yesterday, and I saw supreme Devs while I was there, of which it seemed they only got one.

Frankly I wasn't impressed; He sort of looks like a bunch of Tonka toys got broken up and glued back together in weird places with an unpainted Devastator head unceremoniously mounted on top.

And his "Electronic Lights and Sounds" suck tremendously. (Crap, I wasn't even TRYING to make a bad pun!)

"DEVASTATOR... SMASH... AUTOBOTS!" (Who does he think he is? The Hulk?? I thought you preferred pyramids since they don't fight back)

"I... AM... DEVASTATOR!" (We KNOW... why are you talking??)

*Some sound that is ostensibly supposed to be his turbine; sounds more like a lotto machine to me*

"HO HO HO!" (Oh NO! It's not Devastator at all! It's Demon-Santa! RUN!)

Ehn... he's so big, though I might have payed $50-60 for him... that is if I cared... :shrug [/cynical rant]

^Believe me when I say that 'you are not alone'. ;)

Oh truer words have never been spoken. I actually tried being "open" about it, but I'm sorry the toy is just horrible even in person. Though I admit I do like the open mouth gimmick, its still an EASY pass......

Will do. Right now I'm working on puting wheels on my MP Ultra Magnus cardboard trailer and a Universe Superion. I plan on working a Universe Bruticus once the RotF set comes out. Then I'll hit Devastator harder.

In the meantime, I might try plugging in the other Constructicons here and there. It doesn't look like his head can turn and his back looks awful, those are the first two things I'd like to fix. Maybe I could gently de-attach the head from the supreme Mixmaster, connect voyager Mixmaster to Devastator in a more aesthetic pleasing manner, and place the head over top in such a way that will allow it to move around...

That's funny...before all the ROTF stuff came out, I was working on a custom Classics Bruticus based off the Energon Brut Max, incorporating an Energon Skyshadow (ala Blastoff-repaint) for the right arm & a re-tooled Cybertron Swindle for the right leg. :thumb Gotta get back on that!

I'd be anxious to see if you could incorporate Voyager Mixmaster, FAB Long Haul (as the Voyager is just too big) & Deluxe Rampage into the Supreme figure! :shrug Look forward to pics...

He just came in yesterday. Wow, what a total hunk of junk... :tfpuke

Any chance of you keeping him?

Damnit.

I'm sitting here with Rampage, Mixmaster (my own personal god, MIXMASTER), Long Haul and Demolishor, and I find myself sickened by how much Hasbro and the Bayverse dropped the motherfucking ball on this one. The Constructicon figures released thus far are--each and every one of them--superior to every ROTF Decepticon figure released thus far outside of Voyager Megatron--and I don't think Voyager Megs is better than either Mixmaster OR Long Haul.

That they were not ALL given a toy representation--whether or not the figures could combine--is an error of the most irredeemable variety on the part of Hasbro.

That the Constructicons themselves were given no personalities or true identities in the movie itself disgusts me to no end.

It is incredible and depressing to me that such creative designs, with so much potential both on-screen and in toy form, are treated as only afterthoughts.

Had the movie Constructicons been G1-like, in behavior that is, I think that Hasbro would have had to make all of them as toys. There probably wouldn't be a Supreme Devastator as well. It's likely that there would have been at least a Deluxe class combiner set.
