ROTF Constructicons

My first attempt at a full Devastator with only our available Constructicons is absolutely dreadful, lol!

Shrimpotator! :rofl

Hey, all you can do is try for now...until they release the rest...which seem to be nowhere in sight! :damnit

^Well, regardless...I for one am appreciative of your efforts and pics! :thumb

Also, nobody had any thoughts on this one?

On a separate topic...after looking at those videos over-and-over-and-over last week trying to figure out limbs, details, etc., does anybody see a lot of extra kibbles/details in Dev's head? As Overload seems to get lost in the transformation sequence, I'm wondering if he contributes to any of the head's beefiness, as I see a lot of RED details. I guess if I'm looking at RED though, that could apply towards Overload or Demolisher. By the end of the transformation, it just seems monstrously larger with much more detail than what we initially saw transform out of Mixmaster's cab. Thoughts/comments?

And for further interesting conversations concerning Devastator, you may want to check this out:

The more-than-one-Rampage conversation I find really interesting, as it's something that I've thought about as well. Particuarly in regards to the alignment of the treads of the left leg in the movie...as well as utilizing for a possible custom Devastator (John, you might be interested in this!).

This appears more and more that RotF Devastator isn't like previous combiners where each TF forms a set part of the final robot. It's as they get sucked into each other and different parts come out in other areas. Like they were talking about how treads on the leg looked like the were from Scrapper instead of Rampage. I'll bet some of Rampage formed part of a leg and the rest of Rampage is the hand on the arm. The same with several others, like Overload. Their parts just get shifted around during the trasformation, separating from themselves and reconnecting to other spots. The best example I can think of offhand is how RiD Ultra Magnus combines with RiD Optimus Prime to form Omega Prime...

You may be onto something there. :schin Otherwise, it would seem that Devastator might be made out of more than what we saw on screen. :shrug Maybe a little bit of both? While I believe ILM reached some great feats with ROTF that set the bar a little higher for CGI in a live action film, we still got the shaft in some aspects of continuity, particularly this scene! However, I can't just pin that on ILM...there's plenty of inconsistencies with Bay's editing as well.

I'm starting to think I'd like to get the supreme Devastator at a clearance price and then try getting the voyager Constructicons (and Rampage) to combine to it. The main thing is the size discrepancy between Demolisher and Scavenger. I was thinking it'd be cool if I could get some kine od robot mode out of Scavenger, but after watching frenzyrumble's review again, that doesn't look possible...

Ugh spend a hundred dollars for something that doesn't transform

but Buy voyagers that dont combine

yeah but the average transforming voyager does mote then the supreme

It'd have to be clearance, b/c I can't otherwise justify spending the money just to cannibalize that Supreme chunker! The head is about the only thing I'm interested in using...I guess the rest could be used as placeholders (like the arms) until those actual individual figures are released...that is, if and when! :grr

Hang on, I thaught that once devastator was smahed the individual components decombined and went on th offensive! Whats all this clone/drone business?!

Q: With the release of 3 of the individually transformable Constructicons and Long Haul coming out next, will we see the remaining Constructicons (e.g., Scrapper, Hightower) released?

Hasbro: Unfortunately, there are no plans at this time to release any additional Constucticons past those that we have currently announced.

Damn Hasbro! :emo

One thing I noticed when jumping off the aircraft carrier is Long Haul looks much bigger than the others, just like with the toys...

Which only goes to prove that it's a smaller dump truck that forms the leg of Devastator.

I'm quickly losing hope of a viable (and affordable) kitbash. :tfsad We'll still probably see one from Frenzy_Rumble...but I seriously doubt I could produce that (or afford it!). :)

Hey, just looking around this afternoon and found this guy over at transformerland.com making a pro-active effort to combine these Constructicons using a FAB Long Haul & an Armada Landmine (at least I think that's Armada, right?).

Bravo...enjoy!
