I personally don't think Galvatron should be Megatron in the movie.. I, for one, don't think Bay would be one to follow G1's footsteps, I mean.. he hasn't since the very begining since the first movie, and in many regards, I welcome that. It's kind of an insult to the Galvatron character in a way, never being allowed to be a seperate character.. and actually, I feel the same way about Ultra Magnus ALWAYS being an Optimus Prime clone.. within a rare few occasions where he had a seperate look and such.

 

I think if they are doing the Fallen Character, it wouldn't suprise me if they do a Unicron Character.. but I know for a fact that he will not be a planet if that does happen.

 

In all honesty, I'm diggin tank version megs.. he's not reformatted, he swapped parts with Brawl who appears to be dead as a doornail.

No need for Galvatron until part three. i personally would rather they steer clear from introducing him. I liked the character, but prefer Megatron over Galvatron. Here's a quick related thought. If Prime dies in RoTF, I wouldn't be surprised if Bay resurrects him as "Ultra Magnus." That way Hasbro can have many many more white Prime repaints as they want! Remember, this isn't G1 so anything goes.

I propose a senario like this:

 

Megatron the original Decepticon Leader, should 'die' (again?) partway through the Movie series. This should give the other Decepticon 'Leaders' (Starscream, Shockwave, Scorponok(?) etc) some limelight, along with lots of backstabbing, betrayal -and new tactics against the Autobots.

 

Then, some disaffected Decepticons, probably lead by Soundwave, get sick of the in-fighting and come up with the idea of using old Meg's remains to clone a new improved version of him using an Allspark fragment. (This procedure had already produced new Decepticons Scourge and Cyclonus).

 

Thus is created Galvatron - Undisputed Emperor of the Decepticons (of course, he claims the title after he disintegrates a few of his 'rivals').

 

What Soundwave and his associates didn't count on was Megatron being revived by the Allspark as well.

Sam did fail to kill Megatron - and he's returning in TF2:ROTF to prove it

 

With things like the addition of two hillbilly Autobot brothers, does it even really matter any more?

 

It's the movieverse.

 

I'm just hoping it makes Hasbro a lot of money so they can keep making more Transformers.

 

This is a post I can agree with. The only thing I want to change is that I want them to keep making non-movieverse Transformers.
