  1. I'm sorry but to all those who believe that TF:Prime is a more mature series/toy aesthetic than TF:A - Hasbro has ruined that argument. If you haven't seen the new Beast Hunters commercial where a toy Prime is fighting a toy Predaking - it's a riot, like a cutesy Super Hero Squad-type riot, complete with "boing"s and other kiddie sound effects. I kind of liked it because I'm a fan of Toy Story and stuff like that, but they really are NOT aiming for sophistication with that commercial!!! :D
  2. Right there with you - some of the most emotionally real TF storytelling out there. I miss TF:A regularly because it was so good. There are numerous moments in the series that are pivotal. How about when Yoketron gives up his chance for life and the way that Prowl deals with that then and all the way through the last episode, when he sacrifices himself? Just good stuff. I have tons of moments from the original series, and it'll always be my number one, but Animated will always be a close second for me.
  3. Is it possible that they've actually reached a deal to release these episodes on DVD since they're showing them on the HUB? I've been out of touch with the forum for a while, so maybe I missed a prior discussion - but does anyone have any perspective on this?
  4. So how tall is Sonicron? Is he any taller than the Music Label Soundwave, who I wish was taller?
  5. AARGH! Thought today was Thursday, the reveal day for Animated Motormaster

  6. SICK ON A DAY OFF!!!!! AARGH!

That was my whole weekend :(

  7. This weekend's gonna be tough.

  8. I think legends Scorponok suffers from GPS on his tail lance. Mine's crumbling. But I do still like him and Ravage.
  9. Hotspot---saw your post over at TFW---I'm on the Eastern Shore---I'm considering joining you guys on the 22nd, but don't know my schedule and availability yet
  10. I kind of thought most of them were hideous (especially Barricade), so I passed
  11. Picked up Masterpiece Skywarp for $30. Was thinking about getting rid of Starscream and took him out---decided to keep him and get his partner too.
  12. that is an awesome pic of the 4 of them together
  13. WFC Bumblebee---like the figure except for his slight hump-back-edness or dumptyism (whichever you prefer!); love the weapons; slightly less enamored with the open hands and slightly gangly limbs; wish the alt was more like his G1 Pre-Earth mode, but enjoy his Tron-iness and fun transformation---7/10 WFC Prime---like the alt mode and transformation a lot-very intricate; not a fan of his big ears and small overall size-wish he was a voyager (Bumblebee's head seems to be twice the size of Prime's); wish the weapon pegged like the directions say without coming unhooked; wish he was more like the 6" Titaniums in design of both robot and alt; I really enjoy the WFC aesthetic on his alt (and Bumblebee's) for its own merit---7/10 OTFCC Punch/Counterpunch---I love him a lot! Wish the head(s) was larger and wish they had figured out a way to do 2 sided hands---9/10
  14. Watching as the corn burns in the field

  15. Someday I'll get a Brave Maximus---I love the pose. :love I would absolutely buy a print of the artwork you posted if it was available. I'm going to check out the fortress maximus website next.
  16. I can attest to that. Mine's waist has crumbled. Do you suppose there's anyone out there who has copied and molded this waist piece? I'd pay for a reproduction/replacement.
  17. Again, Ersico---truly great poses. There are a lot of guys around here who bust on Animated, but your pictures prove that for posability, Animated can't be beat. I'll be adding some stuff later---definitely to Liege's crazy poses thread and maybe to this one too. Nice job---by the way, are those swords actually metal?
  18. Ersico---those are some great looking shots and poses. Looked for an emoticon to convey my appreciation, but none were good enough---
  19. I think Cybertron Shortround is pretty horrible. 3 strikes and he's out---1, he's named after the annoying kid from Temple of Doom, 2, he has horrible to pose weird arms and poor preportions, and 3, he is characterized as a "destructive nerd" who basically passes gas (plasma) to confuse Autobots! What a loser. . . His mold mate Storm Surge has a slightly more tolerable paint scheme, lacking the overdone light teal of Shortie, but he has all the other problems. I got rid of my Shortround and have resisted the gotta catch'em all thing thus far with Stormie. Neither of them is Seaspray (I know, I can hardly believe I said that either!)
  20. Just picked up the Special Edition Prime and Megatron in the black packaging for $9.99 ea at Marshall's, as was reported in a previous thread. Wish they'd had Dragstrip and Overkill, but was pleasantly surprised to find the ones I did find.
  21. I love your undying hatred of Animated Starscream! :tflaugh
