Yeah he had his faults too. But his persona never deviated from his love of slaying autobots. That was ALWAYS present in every cartoon he was in. That part should be set in stone and the rest can be changed. G1 had his own shortcomings, but that aspect of him was always present.

 

This is not the case in the movie. Never once did I see Rockinator smirking while attacking Ratchet and Ironhide or when he was taking out the other F-22s. He looked like he was annoyed to have to do this....Because his face is stuck in a FROWN!

Make fun of the original all you want, movie Starscream is still an ugly, bug-faced ape-jet.

If he was some random jetformer, i wouldnt even be annoyed. And thats the persona my toy of him gets. But this one still has a HORRIBLE groin design and his legs are too short. Leader Class is the ONLY way to do him right

so what your setting in stone doesn't aply here, cause even though the actions where dead on, you didn't see a smile on his face?

The actions alone can NOT make him acceptible as a Starscream because there was no indication that he was having fun doing any of that stuff.

 

He was very well known for the one who always smirked and for being a show off. And this one simply cannot do that! Not to mention he's fat when no Starscream has EVER been fat

He just had a lot of armor on his shoulders, but his arms werent ridiculously stretched out far from his torso like rockinator.

Girlfriend? Right because a woman who leeches money off of me, forces me to go watch god awful movies with her, and constantly forces me to delay my life so she can go shopping is JUST what I need. Hell I wont even be able to sleep alone anymore!

The depth isnt good enough. He's still too fat and ugly

He is NOT Starscream and I will NEVER get over the disaster of a design that they turned a great transformer into. He cannot smirk or emote in any way and he CERTAINLY hasn't been the same melodramatic i-love-being-evil type character that any starscream was. He therefore fails as a Starscream. thus he cannot possibly be Starscream.

 

Make no mistake. I love that design too. But NOT as Starscream. Thus the name "Rockinator" applies to him.

 

and if you actually like that...thing as starscream, then no, you are NOT a Starscream fan. And certainly not as big of one as I am.
