New Image of ROTF Starscream

Recommended Posts

Sure it does. The major issue I have with Movie Starscream is, get this, screen time. He needed his personality developed, but then so did all the 'Cons. And all the 'Bots too actually. And TBH, it wouldn't be hard to CGI a grin on his face anyway, what with shifting metal and everything.

If I see his face smirk, I will end my arguement for good at that exact moment. but in his lone speaking scene, it was evident to me that his mouth is stuck in a permanent frown. And in the Reign of rockinator comics, he's always grumpy and pissed off. NOT a good sign

Look at my sig image. It's clear that his upper lip is one solid piece of metal in a ^ configuration. So it can't widen to express a smirk of any sort.

again, when every other character has a body design that perfectly reflects their G1 personas

Yes. Most of the other characters were such good examples of this too.

Except for a few cues from G1 (like Ratchet being an ambulance and Bumblebee being yellow), the only two characters that perfectly reflect their G1 namesake's bodies are Prime and Jazz (though not perfectly, more like 98%). Starscream is Starscream. Be thankful they kept him as a jet and didn't change that. Bonecrusher isn't even a construction vehicle.

Bonecrusher is a universal name. The character who uses the name is always entirely different. But in every single TV universe, Starscream is ALWAYS kept G1. The movie does NOT follow this tradition and is therefore wrong.

May I present Exhibit A:

Notice the ongoing pattern? The bottom middle sure looks WAY out of place to me! It flat up doesnt belong!

Hence, that thing ISNT Starscream

I'd rather they gave him a ground vehicle for an alt mode if it meant he wouldnt be so fat and ugly and maybe actually LOOK like Starscream. So to hell with him still being a jet. There was too big a sacrifice to make that happen.

I don't know, Armada and Energon Starscream where very diffrent from G1. They weren't smirking, coniving or anything your saying EVERY Starscream was.

Kinda judging this one alittle hard off a couple minutes of screen time arent you?

Armada SS was a total showoff. Watch how he fights. He's always freeze-framing on badass poses.

Energon is exempt because he's a mindless zombie. Had he known who he was, he'd have acted the same way.

Yeah but G1 Starscream wasnt badass, he was a loud mouth, a cheap shot, but far from badass.

Same way Armada Starscream wasn't a loud mouth or a cheap shot.

I seem to recall a LOT of badass poses G1 SS had.

Especially seen here

His most famous and most awesome pose of them all.

I I remember him groveling after he struck each one for mercy.

Make fun of the original all you want, movie Starscream is still an ugly, bug-faced ape-jet.

However, even an ugly, bug-faced ape-jet deserves a good looking toy.
