1/ Siburke. This figure isn't a retool of G1 OP. If anything, it's a retool of Voyager Movie Prime.

are you for real? :rofl

It's not awful or anything, but I'm not all that inspired to buy this year's movie toys...call me crazy :shrug :(

Maybe this will be the year to complete my G1 collection and pay off some debt while I wait for the Animated and Classics to come back in full force :thumb

I'm hoping this mold will indeed combine with Jetfire.

Based on the scale between an SR-71 and a Semi? I doubt it. Likely a LDR class Jetfire combines with a deluxe sized Prime or something to be accurate to any movie combining they might do.

Unless Bay has changed his mind about Mass Shifting or the combining is a toy only gimmick...but I don't put much stock in either of those.

Who knows what Bay really thinks about mass shifting, or did no one else notice the building sized allspark shrinking to fit into a human palm?

Life giving ancient artifact that has special god-like life giving powers is allowed to break the laws of physics if it helps along the plot.

Robots who turned into tape recorders 25 years ago aren't, even if the fanboys can't get over themselves.

Anyhow, the new Prime looks cool, though I'll wait for a few more pics to make up my mind.

Oh, and what's with all the Jetfire/Prime combo talk? Other then "it happened in A/E/C" I haven't found any evidence to suggest that they'll combine in ROFT.

This is pure win for me. his chest finally looks like it does in the movie. The main thin i hate about the first leader prime was the pure blockiness. This is much better. Now if only there was a side shot to show how much back kibble he has

Well as someone who bought the original leader prime but skipped Premium, this looks awesome. I'll happily buy it!

HURR FANBOYZ isn't a very good counter to any argument.

The point is that his philosophy is inconsistent when it suits him and as such it's just as likely as not (scale notwithstanding) that Jetfire will combine with Prime regardless or RL size differences.

I can't wait for this figure to hit--not because it improves on the first two Movie Primes in multiple ways, but so someone can dissect it and put an end to this "retool/new figure" nonsense.

"teh screws in primes elbows are the same from the 1st leader prime its a retool i was rite hasbro sucks their cheap lol!!!"

While people keep thinking about the alt-modes, no one seems to be considering the robot modes. Even if Jetfire ends up being a taller robot than Optimus Prime, I don't think it's going to be that much of a stretch if they combined.

My point is that the AllSpark was meant to be something of an almost mystic nature. It bestowed life to an entire race of living creatures. It's not something that obeys the normal laws of science. So therefore it works within the Movie's universe.

Which is the point. Bay isn't so much against mass shifting as he is against mass shifting that can't be adequately explained in the story.

The AllSpark mass shifting can be explained because it's this mystic, life-giving artifact that even the TFers don't fully understand. Jetfire and Prime mass shifting to combine for no other reason then to reference the UT doesn't work on the same level. It's not even close.

Again though, I have to ask, why this desire/expectation to see Prime and Jetfire combine? Because they did it in the UT?

If there's any past franchise the Movie-verse draws on for inspiration it's G1. Prime and Jetfire didn't combine. Jetfire was an ex 'Con turned 'Bot.

From what we know of Movie Jetfire he seems more like his G1 self then his UT self.

So again, why does everyone expect Prime to break out his Jetfire pants again?
