Full Robot shown For tf2 Prime

Hey, I don't know, I'm just don't see why people think it could be a horrible idea or that it's not going to work as a toy. I don't want to Prime and Jetfire to combine in the movie. Hell, I don't want any combiners if they're not going to be individual characters like the Constructions either.

Looks nice but it does make me feel a bit cheated.

I already got the first Leader Optimus Prime, the Premium version and Nightwatch Prime. That last one was on sale though.

This is a retool so I will still buy it but they should have made this immediately.

retool? Redone all together. l'd feel cheated but there's always the Endcap. l'll probably end up giving the original 1 away 2 da kids.

Let me mess ya head up more, wait til part 3

WITH NEW HAT!!

I'm sold.

1/ Siburke. This figure isn't a retool of G1 OP. If anything, it's a retool of Voyager Movie Prime.

Sometimes I wonder if you're for real.

2/ I'm not happy about this. I bought the first movie Prime, then the chromed "perfect special edition" (or whatever they called it) and now this?

I was perfectly happy with my initial release version. Sounds like you've got a Prime buying problem since you bought Takara's gaudy new hat version.

3/ I advise you ALL to NOT buy this version and wait to buy the "super mega movie special edition", near the end of the new upcoming movie toy era.

"Do as I say, not as I do"?

4/ Then, simply switch your old movie Prime with the new version (Now with genuine Peter Cullen voice/chrome/inked detailing/battle damage/additional weapons/a new hat! (delete where appropriate)"

Hi kids. My name is Primal-Convoy, and I advocate swindling, theft, and being a con-artist because I'm that big of a self entitled jerk.

Seriously though, Hasbro should be ashamed of themselves. First they say "we wont have lots of new versions of the existing characters as that would annoy regular customers and now they are going to sell mere retools of existing molds for a new film? I suspect even Micheal Bhey cannot stomach that.

You can't be serious if you thought Hasbro wasn't going to make a new versions of Optimus Prime to coincide with this movie's release. Do the Hasbro Hate blinders ever come off, PC?

Also, you misspelled his last name. The director of the movie is named Michael Bay.

Scale is really of no issue in the realm of toys.

Look, this is pretty simple, I don't see what you guys aren't getting.

Prime is a semi truck. Jetfire is an SR-71 Blackbird. Based on Bay's previous statements about mass shifting, it is safe to assume that the robot modes of Prime and Jetfire will have a comparable difference in size in robot mode as they do in vehicle mode.

Since Jetfire will dwarf Prime, there isn't much Prime can do in the way of combining anyway. More like maybe he could be his targetmaster...but anyway, IF they combine, the design of the combined form will more than likely take into account the large difference in size between the two. The toys, desiring to look as much like the movie representations as possible, will take this into account.

So, will they be "in scale" like they're both 1/24 representations of their on-screen counterparts? No.

Would a Jetfire at the Leader Class price point be able to combine with this figure and suitably approximate the on-screen combination between a 30 ft. tall robot and a 100 ft. tall robot? Probably not.

Is making a Jetfire large enough to combine with this Prime and approximate the on-screen combination feasible? No.

It is, therefore, safe to assume this Prime toy is not going to be making with the combining. That was my whole point. No one is arguing Hasbro will make toys "to scale" with each other in anyway that they have not previously done. But it is not feasible that this toy will combine with a Jetfire toy in anyway that will approximate the CGI models, unless Bay has changed his mind about on-screen mass shifting.

Please stop arguing otherwise. It's pretty irrefutable.

I'm seriously undecided as to what to think.

First run Prime IMO looked great in both modes. It was solid, articulate and about as movie accurate as it needed to be. The only thing that detracted from it was the kibbled up back end. Otherwise I thought the toy was perfect.

ROTF Prime accomplishes the alt mode nicely and make good use of the rear kibble but what is going on with the arms? The entire door is on his upper arm, and the rest looks horribly kibbled and incomplete. Also don't like the wings behind his head. I also don't like the wheels hanging off his hips. The head sculpt and double swords look really nice but other than that first movie Prime looks a lot better.

I will say I like the promise of actual voice clips to accompany the sound effects this time around. First movie Prime only gave us an air horn and some odd, obnoxious sound when he automorphed.

I'm not going to say much more until more/better pics surface.

I remember being the same way when the first proto of the first leader showed up and thinking the Voyager had it beat hands down.

Only after owning both did I realize how wrong I was in that assessment.

As far as Jetfire combining, bring it on. If Megatron is indeed out of the movie maybe it'll mean a Leader Jetfire that also combines with Prime.

Yeah, that would be cool.

I bought both the voyager and leader movie primes, and was sadly diappointed with both. And I got upet when they released premium prime, because I had just spent a pretty penny for that block-headed leader prime!

While this looks like a vast improvement over the fiirst three, I am going to have to see it in person to make a final judgment. With my finances they way they are now, I'm not about to commit to something unless i know for DAMN sure I'm getting what i'm paying for!

wait wait wait let me get this straight: some random dude gets legends prime to give legends jetfire a piggyback & all of a sudden they're combiners? OH. MY. GOD. fanboys never cease to amaze me! :rofl

Grabbed from another site.

Yep that's fan made alright. ;)
