I'm liking the idea of a Dirge w/ proper wings.

I Normally keep my opinions to myself, But I hope this leave's a bad taste in the mouth of the people who oversee botcon for robbing the average fan of a complete set of seekers, I know that sound's silly and maybe we should get over it, but botcon has screwed alot of tformer fans out of very cool figures, like the seekers, and the Dawn of future past figures like Darksyde meg's and waspinator.

Hasbro actually explained what happened here: when Classics 1.0 was out, Hasbro was intending for it only to be a filler line before the movie. At that time, they decided that allowing the BotCon folks to make seeker exclusives would be preferable to nobody making them at all. Later on, Hasbro decided to revitalize and expand the Classics line. That's the reason why things happened the way they did.

BotCon/Fun Pub was actually doing us a FAVOR! So badmouthing them is in-correct. Its only after then, new fans (or @ least new on the boards/net) dont understand this.

 

Im thinking these new molds are a JOINED partnership for Has & Tak exclusives and Hasbro just hasnt released the "announcement" yet. And i agree they will "probably" shy away from the G1 repaint on these. But i DO see them putting it under the G1 banner name. Its just TC that i REALLY doubt they will do. We can dream though :shrug

Really, Ramjet's one of my favorite TFs... Starscream less so. For some reason, the Conehead just... pleases me more. And I wouldn't mind a Dirge so I'm hoping Hasbro brings them over. If not, no big deal to me, but it would be nice.

Usually I hate repaints... but for me and a lot of peeps out there TFs are equally about a good toy and a good (great?) character. I can't deny that all of the seekers have something amusing about them so I'm getting all the characters I know. No matter how obscure. Now give me my lavender generic seeker trooper!

The Botcon toys are made in G1 colors and decorations. Hasbro could release these new Dirge and Thrust toys, and Thundercracker, in colors that might have been used if they were a part of the Classics line.

Maybe I'm just crazy here, but I wouldn't mind paying high prices for these things if I really wanted them. It's the cost of being a fan IMO -- sometimes the things you want are limited edition / import pieces, and you can either fork over the cash or STFU and move on.

i almost wanted them enough to pay the outrageous botcon-after-the-fact-ebay prices. but 150-250 for a deluxe was enough to question my logic. but 60-80 or whatever i find these for (and better quality to boot) i will happily shell out money for.

LOL, If you like the TF and know what it actually is (follow up of the extremely rare and pricey botcon).

Then you wouldn't even ask Hasbro to bring them over to the US.

And importing them would be normal since 60 usd is cheap, if you look at the botcons.

 

I still need to get a henkei thundercracker of ebay to complete my 3 seeker set.

I don't know if I'd get those 2, I'missed Ramjet in stores and need to get him of ebay as well.

There is no doubt that they will look awesome. Hope they make a Classic Soundwave (or a mp3 playerless

version of the mp3 soundwave for a decent price)
