I think fans that complain (Formally Nortege ;) ) about not getting a figure they want for $10 (around) should STFU and get out the fandom! This IS the fandom. If you dont have the money to support your habbit/hobby then dont complain b/c 1 or 2 figs are too much. I dont have TC, Dirge, or thrust & im not complaining. I never have. I honor the clubs reasons as thats business. So BUY from Takara or GTFO

 

However, i see Hasbro bringing these over at some time if the changes are different enough in the wings. You never know this could be a joined effort between has & Tak. I mean, almost everything is & thjs is for 25th Anv so i can see this as a way they went "around" fun publications.

With some reworking, I could see Takara-Tomy making the three coneheads out of the MP Starscream mold. If I'm going to pay a lot for Decepticon jets, it's going to be for ones in the Masterpiece line.

3,465 Yen each should only be - $35 approx. right? Maybe that $84 is for the set? (which is still a markup but a reasonable one).

 

I just think the ongoing botcon seeker angst is a bit hilarious.

I'm trying to imagine having 6 of this mold all lined up in a row... and it seems really dull.

Ihave to ask why FunPub would be so pissed if Hasbro released these in the US though/ i mean, the BotCon that had these two figures in it has come and gone, they made their money and now i would think that Hasbro could release a variation on the same character with different wing molds. *shrugs* i guess it doesn't matter as long as we can get these versions...and they don't suck XD ohhhhh, wouldn't it be just cruel fate if every square inch of these was covered in gaudy chrome? XDDDDDDDD

 

It has more to do with the fact that releaseing these mass retail style in the US will take the value of the Botcon toys down and thus destroying the trust Botcon attendees have in FunPub and Hasbro to release exclusives. how would you feel if you paid a couple hundred for an exclusive figure set just to have it released at mass retail for almost 90% less than what you paid for it? I'd be pretty pissed off myself. We will NEVER see these molds at mass retail. It doesn't matter how much flack we give Hasbro, it's not going to happen. People need to stop wishing and just deal with it. This is your last option to get these molds. Take it or leave it.

Lord, no. I already own three of them, no way would I buy a boxset of 6 for the other three.

 

My ideal is a TC, Thrust, and Dirge sold individually and painted to match my Classics 1.0 Starscream, Skywarp, and Ramjet - you know, not G1 but close enough.

As much as I agree with Hunter in principle, all I have to do is think of MP "Ultra Magnus" and I don't know if I can say they won't do it.

 

Then again, repaints don't really cost anything to produce; remolds do. And Ultra Magnus was also a much more prominent character in G1 (the white-Prime-y-ness of MP UM notwithstanding).

nah.. I actually have little interest in these things. I bet the botcon people are probably pretty pissed now though. XD
