Ganbo Store Gentei Thrust & Dirge Exclusives Announced!

If BotCon Dirge and Thrust left a bad taste in your mouth or could not purchase them, here is your chance to own the last two seekers from the good ole' G1 days in TakaraTomy Henkei! Henkei! Transformers style. Just announced are Ganbo store exclusive Limited Edition Gentei Thrust and Toy Hobby Market Limited Edition Gentei Dirge.

Pre-orders will begin November 13, 2008 through December 10, 2008 retailing at 3,465 Yen each and are expected to ship to customers sometime in March 2009.

Judging by the silhouette, these will not be straight repaints and will have new unique wing molds which depict their G1 counterparts.

A limited number of the previous Ganbo store exclusive Thundercracker will also be available for order on November 6, 2008.

Ah DAMN! I knew these were coming eventually. I can handle it if they run the same as the Thundercracker. Hrmmm...BUT these come out around the same time as MP Grimlock. Grrrrr.

New Takara wing molds could be released stateside by Hasbro without violating the Botcon agreement...just saying.

 

Oh, and the new wings on Dirge mean Botcon set owners will need to buy another figure to have the best Seeker collection available. :tfrofl

Just looked at the pix.... Thrust's wings are... odd. Guess we'll just have to wait to see the official pix to see what's really up with that. Looks like they attached the VTOL fins to the tailplanes.
