They probably won't touch a normal character ever again, which is fine with me. Seeing as how this year's BotCon toys sold out, it's safe to say that unique convention exclusives are the way to go from now on.

I think part of the "entitlement" thinking comes from Hasbro's strategy of "We have no plans at this time" to release ______ item(s), and then releasing it a year and a half later.

 

HOWEVER

 

I don't think Hasbro has ever released Japanese exclusives to the US market through Hasbro. So, given that...these will most likely stay import-only items with a premium pricetag.
