Could Soundwave's alternate mode be in the form of a satellite in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?"

The information was provided to Seibertron by "an anonymous, but reliable, sources."

Screenwriter Roberto Orci told us back in July that Soundwave would be in the film.

Of course, we are requesting that you take this news with a grain of salt until we can confirm the information.

Though he said "Soundwave," maybe he really meant "Shockwave" as a way to give us information and misinformation all at the same time

best toy ever?

As a toy, sure it has potential (assuming it has a worthy bot mode and actually detailed enough toy- the movie toys often fell a little short of their potential there last time around).

As a character in a movie they didn't do last time because they wanted to wait and get it right... It seems like an odd choice, a little too removed from the battle field to be satisfying. We'll just have to wait and see. It could be absolutely awesome!

I like this idea. I'd just hope Hasbro would have the foresight to include a stand with it, so in the alternate mode it'd appear as if it's floating.

Nah, I don't buy it. Shockwave maybe. Not Soundwave. I'm going with the survelliance truck idea alot of fans have been proposing. Scratch that, keep shockwave as he was in the video game. The apache/anti-air cannon triplechanger badass.

I bet the satellite will be his Cybertron mode and he'll have an Earth mode as a pick-up truck.

I really do despise what Michael Bay had done with transformers. In the movie, the autobots' alternate forms are everything but a disguise. Instead of being vehicles we all see on the streets everyday, we had things like a gangsta/biker-colored 18-wheeler (without the trailer, of course), a camaro that wasn't even out yet, a pick-up truck that is nothing like the original G1 version and also one most of us probably have never seen in real life, a nissan solstice that was really only put in there for advertising purposes (as were most of the vehicle forms, in fact), a 'cybertronian' jet (which was just an excuse to skimp out on an alt mode. It didn't even look like a jet in the actual movie, without even mentioning the toy). We had a helicopter that seemed to be in the middle-east one day and somehow managed to get to the middle of the U.S. in a half an hour. We had a jet that never seemed to need to refuel. A tank that, even more miraculously than the helicopter, managed to get to the middle of the U.S. in a half hour. Now we're getting pics of vehicles none of us had ever even heard of, and random ones as well, such as Soundwave who is supposed to be a satellite. I mean, yeah the original cassette tape was also a pathetic alt mode, but this really isn't an upgrade. Who would want to be a satellite? I mean, seriously? Is Bay on drugs?

unlike the super common Liger dragsters and lamborgini fire cars that we see on the road ALL the time...

Hey, don't be mean, uum7 has a point. Why, it was just the other day that I saw a tank on a train track surrounding a rocketship launch platform.

But an 18 wheeler with a wacky paint job? That's just crazy talk.
