The first major plot hole from the first movie: Where the F did Barricade go? Orci said it was a thread for ROTF... way to go there. So with that being said, is he even in DOTM at all?

Just caught this recently and thought I should share. Lots of junkets and news interviews about the new movie going around but this one really caught my eye: http://entertainment.msn.com/video/?g=59b95d92-6c8e-4479-b1af-c9b852c29924&icid=MOVIES1b>1=MOVIES1b I thought it was pretty cool they included that classic transition. If only the rest of the movie had more of that retro vibe... what do you guys think?

Simple. Doesn't have to be what you think will happen, just something you think would be cool to see on screen. I think it would be cool to have a scene where Prime says that they've been keeping some secrets of their own. Then he proceeds to open a planet wide signal and with an epic command "Autobots...TRANSFORM!" the shot pans away all across various places and all kinds of vehicles, traffic lights, newspaper boxes, or anything else you can think of all start transforming and moving out to join up with the Autobots for battle. Remember Simmons...The Transformers have been with us a looooooong time! See the looks on peoples faces as all this goes on arou…

Found the Peter David novelization today at Barnes and Noble. I read the junior novel the other day but I knew it left out a lot of details. I found the sections I wanted more details on in the novel and I am completely blown away, much like most of the movie's cast. This movie definitely ups the ante on violence and body count, both human and Transformer. There are some good moments, some heroic stands, some funny scenes, and a couple twists and turns. In the end...it kind of leaves you in an interesting and possibly unexpected place. And apparently Peter David didn't get the memo that Skids and Mudflap aren't in the movie. Chris

I hope I'm not alone on this, but I'm probably a little biased considering am an avid Linkin Park fan. But I would love to see them do a song for DOTM like they did with ROTF. "New Divide" is an awesome song, and the music video is pretty cool too. However, if they were, wouldn't we have heard something by now?

I guess it's time to start with the speculation around here a bit more. We've seen enough of the trailers to start piecing things together, so let's see what we have. First, I think the Autobots leave Earth. Either they choose to, or are asked to leave. However BB, being the "protector" will stay behind with Sam. It looks like in the trailer that Prime is standing in front of a Shuttle getting ready to depart. This will most likely lead to the big RETURN! Perhaps that's when we see ginsu prime come flying in slicing and dicing. ....That could be even more epic that the original arrival scene in the first movie. I'm kinda hoping for, more than predicting…

I hadn't realized this was out already. I think the book "street date" is the 25th. So... reading now. Yep, you guessed it. The good guys win. Did I ruin the movie? As for some details in the first few chapters... Starts with the Autobots launching the Ark on Cybertron. Optimus watches it launch from Cybertron, so this isn't the Ark we know from the book prequels, it's another Ark. It gets intercepted by Decepticons, spins out and crashes. Lands on the moon in 1961. Radar operators spot it and tell the President, who orders that we land on the moon in this decade. Once the Eagle lands they go "dark" in communications for several minutes and carry out …

Mass shifting. Some of us love it, some of us hate it. So, there's been some debate as to whether or not mass shifting should be in the sequel. I've been doing a lot of thinking on this, and I've come to the conclusion that mass shifting has to pass one test for me to personally be okay with it: The Bond Gadget Test. The Bond Gadget Test says, essentially, that you do not introduce a new technology into a story without that technology being vital to the same story. If Q spends five or ten minutes explaining to Bond how his new Solar Powered Jet Watch with Grappling Hook works, and Bond does not find himself in a situation where the Solar Powered Jet Watch with Grappli…
