Ok here is whats really going to happen, Transformers DOTM is going to rake in a lot of money, then about 60 % are going to bitch about it not being true to G1, and the other 40 % are going to bang our heads against the wall cause the bitching wont stop :P

I dont think setting up for a TF4 would happen. At least not in such a specific manner as a Unicron trilogy. Bay probably wouldn't be attached to 3 more films and a new director/writers could mean it goes a completely different way if another movie is to happen.

 

The movies need to be done. Let the property rest in that respect and pimp out GI JOE and other Hasbro brands. Reboot TFs again in 5-10 years.

 

Hasbro is still seeing big dividends on having TF movies in the theaters. As long as they do well money wise, they will keep making them. And that has nothing to do with the fandom.

That scene where Optimus is standing in front of the space ship can be seen a few different ways. "From here, the fight will be your own" being played over that doesn't mean that quote is from the same scene. Thats just Hollywood trickery. Anyways, one way I want is that it would be the final scene where Prime tells everyone that now that Megatron is dead, they will return to Cybertron and take it back. Thus we get a TF4 which could start the Unicron trilogy. I want to say Shockwave and/or Soundwave retreated back to Cybertron. Maybe they take Megs' body back to Cybertron to be revived and the Autobots figured now would be the best time to go back while the Decepticons are at their weakest. Maybe we'll get an after credits scene or audio bit of a transmission where Prime tells Ultra Magnus to rally the troops.

 

Will it happen? Who knows. A full CG is possible, look at Avatar (well most of it) and how well that did.... but then again, Avatar and TF are entirely different. Plus Avatar had humans. I don't know how Hollywood would see a no human, all robot movie. Expensive maybe.

 

 

 

I know, but I think it strongly hints that that is what will happen. The quote itself being the more important part. Question is, will it simply be to recover their lost team on the moon, or is it leaving for good? It could have been a funky camera angle, but that appeared to be a pretty big ship...the kind meant for a loooong journey.

 

I guess we'll see.

The plot is better its a combination of the episodes Megatron's Master Plan, Cosmic Rust, and HEAVILY influenced by The Ultimate Doom.

hey guys i was looking at wheeljack and i saw two things that caught my interest.

 

1) in the children's book, despite having his head designed after Albert Einstein, the hair on the sides of his head glow when he talks. :yay

 

2) in the DOTM trailer, if you zoom into when he is with the others in the hanger, he has a MASSIVE ninja sword on his back. :wat

To tell you the truth there is going to be a transformers 4, but the problem is Shia Labouf will not be in it and Micheal Bay isn't going to direct the movie. So if they hier another director the movie might not be too good.

 

Since DOTM is going to be in 3D it is going to make hella money.

Yeah, I can't see Bay coming back for any more of these. He is a big profile director that's been stuck living nearly nothing but Transformers for over 6 years without a break.

 

I'm sure he's anxious to get on with some other projects and I'm sure Hasbro and studios will want to keep the money train rolling with as few stops as possible. Though who knows, perhaps even Hasbro will see benefit in giving the movies a bit of a breather while putting more into other ventures...back to the roots so to speak.
