crappy week at work inspired me to buy toys. I got myself some GI joe's and the surprisingly nifty optimus gravity bot, who was on sale. After dealing with the over complicated movie transformations for a few months now, it's very satisfying to transform a figure with so little effort. Kinda pricey normally, but I'd recommend getting at least 1 gravity bot for the hell of it

I would have to agree that swerve is too red looking. That's why I got another sideswipe and made him red. And what a drool worthy red it is :drool (kinda hate myself for not having the pics done yet) Actual haul:some clearance animated figures. finally got me swindle and had no problem paying a deluxe price for the 'deluxe' size bulkhead

Had myself a good day. Got a chance to reassemble my custom G1 ROTF sideswipe, just got some touching up to do. Found a Dune Runner and finally jumped on the HA bumblebee bandwagon. He is much more impressive than I first thought, but still has his quirks that I want to work out. I already tore his head apart to repaint his bug eyes, but I can't seem to get his chest fixed. Anyone out there have a good mod for those damn spring loaded chest pieces? Also, while I was at walmart, I happen to notice 2 of the target exclusive animated sunstorms and shockwaves sitting on the shelves with a price of $26. When did the 'target exclusive' go away?

caved on mixmaster, :shrug also got legends prime and jetfire to fiddle with. anyone else try putting these two on knockout or reverb? they fit on almost too well :P

Finally got my lot of scouts from china. Took a month too long, but I got all 6 of the first wave and Reverb for less than $6 each. Depthcharge has no head :tfmad. Reverb has some of the tightest joints I've seen, let alone on a scout But Reverb has some exciting news: hasbro fixed the small tab that didn't plug into Knockout's waist. I was very impressed that they bothered doing anything to the mold. This, and the new head molds on upcoming deluxe repaints, leads me to believe hasbro might actually start investing more money into repaints and not give us the crap we've had for the last few years

I got skids in the mail today. After some tinkering, I "fixed" the lame extend hand out 1/4" gimmick hasbro calls a punch. He now has a rather nice shooting fist gimmick instead :tfevil if anyone's intrigued, I may post a tutorial, but I have no idea how helpful it would be. The idea behind it is very simple, but the execution was sort of frankensteined :shrug

honestly, the super glue isn't even needed, the arm is still held together by another screw and a pin in the elbow. its more or less insurance on the arm. the other thing is that the glue is only applied to the gap between the arm panels, it isn't that hard to mess up i think. if that still scares you, do what i did and just squirt a bunch inside the empty screw hole, bonding the two halves, and shave down the excess plastic anyways. in short, the glue shouldn't scare you off
