  1. Overall, the vf-25s are pretty well built. Transformation always goes smoothly and I'm only ever concerned with scratching some paint when flipping the nose and canopy around. It doesn't feel fragile and the few things I consider finicky and fiddly about it are how the neck clips in place, how the shoulders don't clip into place, and the leg super-parts pop off pretty easily when handling it. I only have the vf-25f, but from what I've seen, the vf-27 Brera Stern fixes all the issues I have (other than cost :redface).
  2. got my box from hasbro toy shop this week. this brings me up to 5 movieverse primes now: '07 leader, ROTF gravity bots, legends, leader and now the voyager as well. universe smokescreen was also in there, and boy do I like that mold and deco. so glad i got it, especially since it was on sale
  3. I wish I had the money (or space) to have another vf-25, but I think those resources were better spent of the vf-1s. who am I kidding, I'm probably gonna go ebay a vf-25g right now :P
  4. I enjoy the simplicity of my prop script. It gives me a new way to play with my toys, kind of like the what stormtroopers do on their days off The script is only about 1/2" x 1/4", so the camera has a hard time focusing, even in macro mode. I think the crooked pencil should still be easy enough to see though, along with a drawn in 'staple' as far as optimus: After defeating the Fallen, Optimus Prime went on to destroy the periodic table because he only believes in the element of surprise
  5. I think the stand works pretty well actually. Optimus needs to be held up by solid metal pipes because everything else would just get its face ripped off
  6. its not really anything special, just a few pieces of paper super-glued at the corners with a few pencil lines on it to make it look convincing enough
  7. one robot mode for each face and the other two for the alt modes :tfevil ...well I guess my post is no longer needed because of prowlclone
  8. finally figured out what iron man's open hand is perfect for: reading Shakespeare for an audition
  9. funny that you posted this, because I just got a deluxe bumblebee and have the same basic thing going on my desk right now There's a unique joy in having the same toy in multiple size classes
  10. went out today to try to find ROTF Evac, but still nothing anywhere (has anyone seen him?) settled and got a buzz lightyear on clearance instead :tfgrin
  11. star saber too for some victory saber goodness???? :drool
  12. got my package from bwbm today: Reissue Hot Rod, RID Sky-Byte and Prowl and Universe Razorclaw :tfgrin
  13. Some 100% all-natural, VF-1S whole-grain goodness. Yamato certainly makes an amazing toy
  14. This is why Demolishor is actually worth getting and why Dead End has a mouth that opens: T-Rex mode! and a pic from the back to show how snugly Dead End fits on top of him (almost like it was planned), though he's resting on top more than connected
  15. more ROTF combinations, Dead End and Demolishor in T-Rex mode
  16. Alright, had to succumb to my impulses and went out and bought ROTF demolisher. The alt mode is decent, with average detail and some nice rubber treads. As said by everyone else, the robot mode is complete crap, as it lacks articulation in the only useful limbs he has (arms), can't move his head (haven't checked, and if, there's no point really), and has bad engineering and design all over the place in general. That's not why I bought this piece of junk though. Yuyuyami, you are 100% in saying the only point in this figure is to turn it into other crap, treating it as a morphing vehicle of sorts for other transformers, rather than a figure on its own. The "bike mode" is highly satisfying, though I did mine slightly differently. Currently, I'm enjoying using him as a t-rex walker of sorts for scout dead end. So wonderful. pics tomorrow when I have time *edit: If I have time. if not, thursday?
  17. so, what you're saying is, that the appeal of this toy is that he can transform into other things :rofl
  18. intriguing. getting him would mean a full set of movie constructicons then, and I did end up liking leader megatron, who I also thought was a piece of crap
  19. Bummer. What were the numbers? FWIW in IL, 40 over or higher is a felony. Though I have actually gone 40 over before(sshh), this one was 37 in a 25, ticketed as a 32 in 25. Just wasn't paying any attention to both how hard I pushed the gas and the cop driving the opposite way. It was really just the icing on the cake of a very crappy day. One good thing I suppose is that I was reminded how much better shape I am now than a few years ago because the cop warned me that the info on my ID is so far off that I could be arrested until they can verify that it's actually me and not "my fatter twin brother"
  20. Seriously? No but seriously still no he's not just certain, he's HIV positive my actual haul for the week...$125 speeding ticket. woo hoo :bored
  21. ^lol are you gonna keep all five of those bananas MISP? seems like a waste to me :tfgrin
  22. Its bad. I can't say much though as I'm assuming mine was also part of the initial release, considering I got it clearanced off ebay for $9.
  23. since I now have all the macross stuff I bought in the last few weeks, I figured it would be fun to put the revoltechs among the ROTF biplanes doing their best impressions of gerwalk and battroid modes. Also got revoltech megatron(so deliciously evil) among my haul for this one:
  24. Tman, did you know that shockwave's abs will bend inward slightly? it greatly adds to his overall look
  25. yup, the "do you remember love?" anniversary edition specifically. $170 seems like a lot of money for a toy, but drool worthy doesn't begin to describe it
