  1. yuyuyami makes a good point. so when does the who/whom debate begin? broke the 200 mark in the collection with masterpiece grimlock this weekend. can't wait to open it up
  2. started out august with a good haul today. got some packages from ebay today, including armada skywarp (I love his looks, but I would kill for hasbro to do an updated version) Also, found some HFTD wave two stuff at walmart. Picked up voyager prime because I see him as a novelty, a mini KO of leader prime. Also saw the wave 2 of the PCC 5 packs, but I wouldn't want those eve if hasbro payed me $20.
  3. I like the gravity bots. most look like crap (starscream), but they were pretty cool novelties to buy.
  4. 2008 with less than 20k miles; base trim with v6, 4 speed auto, and a sunroof. Wouldn't mind the GT with the automanual shifter, but I figured the added insurance costs for essentially just a gt badge wasn't worth it since all I was really after was the v6. This is after owning a 2001 Olds Alero with 142,000 miles and a 4 cylinder that barely put out 140 horses. Quite the upgrade IMO. What's yours, if you don't mind me asking?
  5. I can probably transform it into a lot of speeding tickets. this thing has about 80 more horsepower than my last car
  6. that's the battlefleet megazord Finally got leader starscream in the mail today ^.^ -I actually enjoy these leader jets with the kibble on the bottom because it means you can unfold the legs and have a built-in display stand
  7. WFC prime with his gun pegged intro his forearm (don't think I've seen anyone else do this yet or mention it) ...and a star wars cross-over in the action pose thread?? (at least its the only semi-decent one from the entire line) MagnaGuard Starfighter in his official robot mode, followed by my own mech-walker mode. I think my mode works better just because it hides that ugly head of his
  8. got the PCC combaticons today. they can make quite the fierce looking bot when combined with smolder also, a bit of MP-01B fun inspired by Devil Mazinkaiser and Voltron's Blazing Sword
  9. got WFC prime in the mail and got PCC smolder and the combaticons from TRU with their 50% off sale also, looks like I'll get my online TRU haul tomorrow morning according to the tracking info. -first, 50% on seaspray with leader starscream -then free shipping. -on top of all that, the shipping is only one day because I live outside Detroit and apparently their warehouse is located in Columbus (not to mention, I'm finalizing my search for a new car and just got a raise at work) all together, awesome is only way to describe things right now :thumb
  10. I just got 4.5 lbs worth of masterpiece black convoy in the mail today. This guy is so gorgeous that it scares me to touch him.
  11. ...and 5 months later now, finally found animated arcee and ratchet also, bought masterpiece black convoy from bbts's sale. should be in by the end of the week and then I can enjoy mp-01b in all its glossy black glory
  12. You can just give me your money instead, Ill spend it on better Transformers :tflaugh Seriously tho, sorry for your misfortune and momentary lack of judgement. I hear the Turbo Tank isnt bad tho. The magnagaurd droid is decent. The plastic quality is completely different (for the better) and, while the face is butt ugly, it does make for a great mech walker if you transform it differently. I'm gonna make an oath right now. Starting today, I will never buy another star wars crossover, regardless of price or how cool the vehicle mode may be. (Marvel crossovers will only be considered when on clearance :P)
  13. I was bored and got some star wars transformers....can't believe I was that stupid :redface I thought the AT-TE would be decent, but my god is that thing a piece of crap. Who designs these things anyways? I think a drunk monkey could make a better toy
  14. its the arm from the gigano dragon he reviewed the other day
  15. do tell us FTcsap, is the leader starscream as drool worthy as we all want him to be? could we have your two cents on the guy? My haul: just bought yet another yamato valkyrie, the 1/60 vf-1j, off of BBTS through amazon (BBTS's price was somehow the cheapest for once, and I can't complain about how quickly stuff from them gets to me). and for anyone that cares, the Meijers around me here in SE Michigan have put all ROTF figures on clearance: 3.99 for scouts I believe, 8.99 deluxe, 16 for voyagers, and 30 for leaders. If you're looking for a scout from the first few waves, what better way to get one than for less than the price legend?
  16. Finished off my $25 for hasbro's promo with ROTF ratchet and brawn. I got ratchet purely for a chance to really crank out some mods again, and boy did he need them. After I get his gun to stay in place, and possibly a few dabs of silver, I'd peg him at about 8/10. Brawn is every bit as kibbly as I thought he'd be. He's much worse than the first teaser pics we got a year ago, but he's actually pretty cool though. Plus, the hood of his car can be flipped 180* so the pieces rest on top of his thighs and form some nice armor panels, rather than just hanging at his sides. Needs some super glue on his hips, but I still give him 7/10.
  17. Got legends skids and mudflap from the TRU sale. Nifty little guys and they make the most butt ugly headmasters imaginable
  18. this guy is seriously starting to look more like a cybertron prime than just classics prime armored up. looks awesome though! Pics from my mini macross toys (legends warpath for a size comparison) loving this robot spirits vf-25f. more fiddly fun than a revoltech, but lacks the pack in stands and the gorgeous vf-25g. I wish I could've gotten the 1/60 instead of this vf100, but $30 sounded better than $170
  19. Got a couple of macross toys from BBTS's clearance: Robot Spirits vf-25f and VF100s vf-25g Haven't messed with the robot spirits one too much yet, but it looks really, really good, especially proportionally. Poseability is excellent, though a few joints need to be tightened. I definitely see my self enjoying this little guy (just wish I had on one of the stage stands for it). My only gripe is that the armor stays on just as badly as the on 1/60 scale. Then there's the VF100. It looks just as fantastic as the robot spirits. Posing is pretty good, more so when considering it "transforms" too. Again, a few joints need to be tightened up slightly here and there to work on the fiddliness. As a display piece, all three modes work quite well, though he should have come with an open left hand to cradle his amazing rifle in battroid mode. Surprisingly, the "transformation" is actually one of my favorites points to the figure, as it basically turns the toy into a 3-D puzzle of robotic goodness. Yet, the parts-forming is also the main issue with this toy. It's not the fact that it part-forms. The problem is that the toy needlessly requires as many part swaps as it possibly can. I don't see any issue in having hinges on the tail fins or having a nose cone that can simply fold over. Instead, almost every piece must be disconnect or replaced. With so many extra bits floating around, it becomes irritating to keep track of them all, even with the packaging that nicely organizes everything. What really gets me is that the gerwalk knees actually come attached to a bonus organizer piece that is used only to keep the two knees together. Why couldn't such organizers be used for all the other parts? Or better yet, why could there not have been a single larger piece to attach everything to? While not nearly as bad as the revoltech transforming vf-1s, I would be pretty disappointed if I didn't get this thing for what I did. $60 or even higher is ridiculous for the vf100's, but $30 makes for a more justifiable purchase. I would mildly recommend it, but only if you know what you're getting into and you know how to be delicate with it.
  20. quick! get these two some more red and silver bits of plastic!
  21. pics in the action pose thread when it gets there? :tfevil
  22. Overall, the vf-25s are pretty well built. Transformation always goes smoothly and I'm only ever concerned with scratching some paint when flipping the nose and canopy around. It doesn't feel fragile and the few things I consider finicky and fiddly about it are how the neck clips in place, how the shoulders don't clip into place, and the leg super-parts pop off pretty easily when handling it. I only have the vf-25f, but from what I've seen, the vf-27 Brera Stern fixes all the issues I have (other than cost :redface).
