They all look more like fan modes then an intentionally hidden homage to his G1 alt mode (like Energon Shockblast's "gun" mode).

I will not buy blaster as that is not blaster to me.

Actually, considering it's be really wierd considering how outdated it'd be for Blaster to be what he was in 1985, and many people use Cybertron Soundwave for the Classics version. So it more or less makes sense to use that mold for a Classics Blaster. They painted him up like Blaster, even added his split visor from the comic and toy (it wasn't in the cartoon). And it works well. I picked him up and haven't regreted it.

However, to each his own.

yes he was a boom box out dated yes but thats how i see him he could be done in deluxe size and i would be happy . i just cant see him as a space jet. it is just how i see him. so if others like thats cool.

looks lame i'll keep in tank mode instead nuff said :truthy

is this what everyone was thinking of?

With Cyclonus partner NightStick(How a plane has a partner named after a police baton is beyond me) in that seat Cyclonus in robot mode pointing forward and CybSoundwave behind him in Robot mode all guns raised....

The toy was crap, but the animation model wasn't bad.

And really, it made a lot of sense. Megatron was a gun. Megatron's upgrade is... a bigger, futuristic gun. I always liked that about Megatron. His alt-mode was purely about power, and dealing damage, even if he had to completely give up something to do it. Very fitting, no? I still think an artillery emplacement would be an ideal alt-mode for Megatron.

I always saw him as a space gun. The mass shift superpower/special ability being used for re-entry especially useful for supprising leaders of the Autobot resistance, as a huge fireball flying down might be obviously a true threat but a small streak could be mistaken for a peice of shrapnell. The sheer terror of seeing it stop feet infront of you fire at you crippling you and turn into Megatron/Galvatron :tfemo :tfemo

your all better off going to a collectable store and buying the japaneese e-hobby purple g1 :con galvatron

Wow a forth mode...that makes since and looks more like the original G1 alt-mode. Now let's see if there is some hidden hand gun mode there! It's a shame the bot mode needed more work but I'll still get it just the same.

fourth mode?

I believe:

1: Robot.

2: Tank.

3: Walk-tank.

4: Artillery/G1 cannon.

Com'on now, someones gotta figure out the hand gun mode! I know those sneaky designers at Takara put one in there. Originally they showed hasbro the walking mode and Hasbro sad it was too lame and so on the US instructions it's not listed. I'm thinking the Japan Instructions show it though. So we'll see once a collector get the Takara version.
