Basically, if you want a show AKURIT Prowl, get the one that's available now. You don't want a G2'D up ghey-ass color scheme.

 

But that surely means that the sidecar can still be split up for the robot armor, right? Right? :tfsad Well, I've gotten impatient for that release of Prowl anyway! :07evil I'll just get the current one.

^You shouldn't be disappointed. I too, was going to wait for the sidecar version to come out before getting a Prowl, but when I read that he'd be different colors I went with the regular. He was my favorite up until Jazz appeared. Guess I'm just a sucker for ninjas.

Prowl is probably my favorite :animated fig so far. I think he looks the most like his show model (keeping in mind that, in this toyline, that's a close race) and his transformation is brilliantly worked out. He's got uber-articulation and cool ninja stars and, and, and...damn, he's just cool.

do they mean Samurai Prowl as in "Fistful of Energon" Prowl? with the unecessary sidecar and cool helemt and maybe a slot in his arm for the EMP cannon?

 

i hope its not a prowl with accessories, id be kinda disappointed since i already got regular prowl

Thanks for the up dated post on the Prowl. It's nice to know that the side car does not convert into armor as expected earlier. Now I just hope I can hunt down the regular Prowl.

 

Also if I can't find a good Lockdown then I hope this new one is good.

 

I really hope that it is the same as the original release but instead of a left hand it is replaced by the chain saw (assuming this is their way of fixing the bad hand problem). I really like the EMP gimick.

Indeed. Did you hear my SB post? I said almost the same thing. It breaking apart isn't a "transformation" per-say :07dance . As for the new paint-job, I'm okay with it. I was just gunna get this one to re-paint anyway. I look forward to the remade hands. And the samurai head. God I hope they include that.

 

As for the Lockdown, I hope they do replace the other hand with it instead of replacing the EMP with it. Or just replace the hook or something show accurate. I need Another EMP for Ratchet.

As for the chainsaw... My guess is they'll just replace the hook. Seems like there could be room for a chainsaw blade in place of it. So new paint job and they only have to mold one new part.

Well, if that is the case, there's two problems.

 

1: This wouldn't be the first "splits into pieces and attaches to the figure" armored figure we've gotten (looks at RiD Prime, Apex Bomber with PM Prime..if you want to go further RiD Magnus and Energon Wing Saber, even though they do transform themselves along with splitting apart into armor), so why they'd say that is beyond me...this really isn't a problem as it is confusing now that I think about it.

 

2: The real problem, if it does split apart and attach to the figure, why would they repaint Prowl instead of just remolding him (if need be) to accomadate the armor onto him. And what's wrong with his hands exactly. They're built to hold his shuriken.

All of those except RID Prime are figures in their own right. This is a sidecar, so I'm thinking by 'doesn't transform' they mean it doesn't transform into a robot of it's own. If it's not armor, they would've just called it 'sidecar,' or for that matter they probably wouldn't have bothered to make it in the first place.

 

 

After all, with real motercycles my opinion is as follows:

 

Motercycle = Awesome.

Motercycle with sidecar = Not Awesome.

Motercycle Robot with "splits apart and attaches to robot" Armor = :awsum

Repaint is a much cheaper word than Remold.

 

If they're making the armor anyway, they might as well save money and make it to fit his existing body.

 

I like his hands, though. Judo CHOP!
