I picked up a couple at the Fry's on Brokaw in San Jose.

 

They have an entire endcap dedicated to them.

 

They're a bit more expensive than they would be at WalMart, etc. (deluxes $13 voyagers $25) - so if you're on a budget...

target employee: Ok. What is it?

Me: (giving numbers)

TE: Sorry, sir... it looks like it's in transition and we can't sell them yet.

ME: Shoot. Ok, any eta on when that's going to happen?

TE: Sorry, sir, not yet. Just try calling back another time.

ME: Ok, thanks!

ME: I'm not asking for you to check an individual collectible, I just want to know if you're carrying the series yet.

TE: Target policy clearly states that we cannot check location on a collectible item. If I get this number for one collector then I will have every other collector asking me why I let you check and not them.

ME: I'M NOT ASKING YOU TO CHECK STOCK ON ONE ITEM. I'm not asking you if you have any blue shirts, just if you carry shirts AT ALL.

TE: Sorry sir, I'm not allowed to do that... (beep, beep)

ME: I can hear the PDA in your hands.

TE: Yes, sir it is...

ME: I'm just asking to see if you are carrying the series. That's all. Will you please enter the number into the PDA you are holding in your hands?????

ME (using a girl voice, just in case they know, and not bringing up DPCI numbers so as to try a different method): Hi, my son is asking for something and I was wondering if you could tell me if you carry it.

TE: Sure, what is it?

ME: Transformers classics... he says it's a new line

TE: Oh, we're all sold out of those.

ME: Really? He was telling me they just came out.

TE: Yeah, wait... (murmers in background) Actually, those were Cyber... Cyb-

ME: Cybertron?

TE: Yeah. Sorry. Yeah, we're almost out of those.

ME: But my son was talking about classics

TE: Oh, we've stopped carrying those. Yeah, we carried those for a while, but I think Hasbro discontinued them so we only have 1 left.

ME: Ok. Thanks for your help.

 

 

I hate target. I really really really hate target.

San Mateo TRU has both Classic Prime and Megatron in stock.

Managed to pick up all 4 deluxe Classics...

Went to TRU 2 different times, only had 2 Classics at a time. (Hotrod/Starscream then Bumblebee/Astrotrain.)

Lucky me.

Also they had the Classic Beast Wars in stock. 2 pack.

Seen the repaint of the deluxe Cybertron Optimus Primal at Talbots.

Managed to finally get my hands on the deluxe Primal and Megatron...

Sunnyvale Target had a lone Classics Starscream on the shelves.

Today Sunnyvale Target had two Classics Megatrons but no other Classics.

San Pablo/El Cerito Target has two Classic Starscreams, one Titanium Thundercracker, one Classic Hot Rod and two Classic Astrotrains. I got the lone Classic Bumblebee! :tflaugh1

Went back a day later to get the Starscream!
