MacGuyver'd!

Prowl needs those upgrades, along with the rest of the bots. They are too weak against the cons as is.

I disagree. The one thing that drives a story is its complication that is presented to its protagonist(s). And when it comes to stories involving a hero(es) and villain(s) one needs to ensure that the villain(s) is(are) stronger than the hero(es) in order to provide them with a sufficient complication.

It's very basic/staple action story-telling to portray the villain as being more powerful than the hero.

The Autobots are leap and bounds weaker than the Decepticons, that's why I think they need upgrades. Prowl having upgrades made him stronger, but the upgrades didn't level the field. He could not defeat a Decepticon 1 on 1 based on those upgrades, so the villains still remain stronger. Giving them upgrades

will make the battles more interesting, instead of one sided.

A hero can be vastly weaker than the villain and still triumph. frodo.jpg

;) :D

I thought Starscream didn't have an energy signature any more?

none of the cons have energy sigs thanks to the dampener.

I was referring to his no-Sparkness.

It was towards the end of the show's run when they did less environmentalism and started tackling more social issues. It was the same series as the when Wheeler date raped Lynka and where Gi had an abortion because she wasn't having a boy.

...I love you for this.

Something none of you so far has paid attention to: In the last episode, Bulkhead was introduced to oil by the Constructicons. This was not shown as being a harmful thing. In this episode, we, again, see Bulkhead drinking from an oil-can. I'm really hoping here that this will form into a plotpoint at a later stage.

Bulkhead drinking oil isn't all that big of a deal on this show. It's normal. Remember them trying to feed Sari oil because they didn't know any better?
