Fistful of Energon

I thought Starscream didn't have an energy signature any more?

He does, but you can't track it via ordinary means, hence Prowl using Teletraan to find him.

Prowl needs those upgrades, along with the rest of the bots. They are too weak against the cons as is.

Remember when Sumdac created a way to hide Decepticon energy signatures? Perhaps that's why they can't track Starscream conventionally!

Also, I don't buy Starscream taking out his fragment and busting it up to feed his clone army. Starscream supposedly lost his spark core. What would happen if he took the Allspark fragment out?

How about we just leave it as "Starscream is a genius/wizard"?

I mean, he managed to make a bomb that destroyed half of Megatron. When the AllSpark exploded from within Megatron's chest, all that happened was he got a little dented.

MacGuyver'd!

I disagree. The one thing that drives a story is its complication that is presented to its protagonist(s). And when it comes to stories involving a hero(es) and villain(s) one needs to ensure that the villain(s) is(are) stronger than the hero(es) in order to provide them with a sufficient complication.

It's very basic/staple action story-telling to portray the villain as being more powerful than the hero.

OMFG PEOPLE THEY'RE DRONES JEEBUS

Something none of you so far has paid attention to: In the last episode, Bulkhead was introduced to oil by the Constructicons. This was not shown as being a harmful thing. In this episode, we, again, see Bulkhead drinking from an oil-can. I'm really hoping here that this will form into a plotpoint at a later stage.

:lol I noticed it as well, but didn't make that connection... I'm pretty sure that they've at least mentioned drinking oil before, though Bulkhead with a drinking problem might be a bit heavy for a show like this.

Agreed, I get the feeling that while the oil=beer jokes were largely for the benefit of us older viewers (like Lockdown's poncho), the message the kids were supposed to get was more along the lines of "Transformers need oil, but the Constructicons are rude gluttons about it; all things in moderation yadda yadda yadda."

Then again, kids shows have been known to tackle heavy stuff before; Fraggle Rock had a fairly memorable episode about death, as I recall :P

*remembers when Captain Planet got addicted to heroin*
