Basing them on the Gen-1 color scheme, these are 2 guys that I'm guessing have been done previously, and now I'm attempting them. I got them underway pretty quickly, paint took to them perfectly, all even and smooth..Now just letting them cure, then move on to detailing and more drying, then finish etc. Pics of the heads and Sunstorm a bit later.

:tflaugh smexy!

Nice.

I'm not sure if I'd leave the windshields red or paint them blue. It'd be a shame to lose the translucency, but it would be more accurate to paint them. Given their color schemes, the red kinda works, though I feel like the blue of the original designs does a good job of breaking up an otherwise monotonous color scheme.

I'm real excited to see their heads. They look great already.

Looks cool

I remember when i did one. The molds work well for these characters. You use spray paint right?

Yes, Krylon of course. And I may color Ironhides window with the blue marker treatment again, it'll keep the transparency, and go a decent shade of blue.

Is the Krylon stuff the same as regular spray paint? 90% thinners and runs easily if your not careful? Thats the problem i have which is why i prefer to sue an airbrush and mix my own paint as spray canned paint is too thin sometimes.

Looking good as always sami. Sonray, Krylon is a decent brand on this side of the pond. Like most spray paints if you keep your distance and apply thin coats, results are usually good.

Kick ass

Title said something about Sunstorm and new heads. Pics may not be loading. :schin
