Last Stand of the Wreckers : Ironfist! Thanks to autobotx23 for the inspiration. This is a commissioned piece (VERY cool and patient customer/customizers) - using Universe Hound as the base. I built him a custom head using FansProject's Warbot (Springer) added a styrene forehead crown and mouth plate, carved in new larger eyes. Gave Ironfist some light battle damage, a magnetically attachable weapons pack with an ammo belt that runs to his mini-machine gun. Loads more photos can be seen www.frenzyrumble.com or https://www.facebook.com/pages/FrenzyRumble/277523541966 or

Masterpiece Mid-Warp Skywarp version 2. This round, I did the same mods to his hip kibble (relocated and permattached to his lower legs, modified back wings and tail to accommodate standing in robot mode) Also, went with a little more fun on the warping effect, this time - he's materializing from the left, and there are holes and patches of clear throughout. Also added a nice gloss on the cockpit window. Full gallery can be seen : www.frenzyrumble.com or or https://www.facebook.com/pages/FrenzyRumble/277523541966

Here's a long overdue commissioned Leader Jetfire, for a friend. To begin with, I added individual articulation to Jetfire's fingers. I also omitted the "pull down level" crap on the chest. Rewired and added new LED lights for his eyes which go to a small on/off switch near his right arm pit. Also added 2 super bright blue LEDs to his turbines. All batteries are easily accessible for swapping in new ones. Went to town with details, this round; I had fun making some areas glossy, and some areas matte. He does transform, yet - I didn't take the pics, Jet mode is pretty much all matte black.

Long Haul of the Constructicons. This time around, I made some minor improvements. The main one I've done is make the back (dumper) part so that it can sit higher on his back. Also, used a custom fabricated head via Shapeways c/o Calloway designs. the head folds back and around to the back of the chest, allowing zero parts forming for all 3 modes. Classics Dragstrip (version 3) with added set of front wheels (like g1 version) purple tinted cockpit, new head and lots of fun details. Final coated with a super glossy clear, wheels coated with a super matte clear. Yes, he will eventually become the arm of Menasor Full photo set can be seen : www.frenzyrumble.com or https://www.facebook.com/pages/FrenzyRumble/277523541966 or

This is a commissioned piece of War for Cybertron's MEGATRON! The main modification done here was the swap in of new hands, which can hold 5mm weapons. These new hands split into halves (like the stock toy's) and hinge into the tank (alt modes) treads. Speaking of 5mm weapons, this custom created Megamace is c/o fakebuster, it's amazing! I went to town with tons of battle damage, colors, details, etc. The "glowing" parts were custom blended, from purple on the outsides to white in the middle, to give a nice glowing effect. Megatron's ready to lay a whooping on Prime. His arm canon also has a 3

This was a commissioned piece. Optimus Primal is ultra class (larger one) and the original version. Few things bugged me about the figure, so I did my best to improve those. To begin with, the original figure only had fists, and when in Gorilla/alt mode, those fists weren't facing a convincing direction. I added articulated, rotating hands. (c/o cast Customs by Z) Another issue was the spring loaded mechanisms everywhere. I removed these springs and made those features friction poseable, during this process - I also omitted the "kung fu grip" style arm(s) gimmick. There were areas (especially

1 thin, air brushed, even coat of gray or silver over any color with neutralize it. From there you can push to white or light colors.

He already tried that, and it didn't work for him for whatever reason. The acrylic paint thinner does work. Emphasis on how much alcohol you have to apply before trying to rub the paint off exactly. you can't harm this plastic with alcohol. You can literally soak the chest for hours and it will work. Trust me, factory app paints all come off w/ alcohol. Are you repainting this fig?
-
thing is you can coat your paint with steel, but if it's not holding well to the plastic, it will scratch off. Imagine laying the strongest paint or substance in the world to a sheet of smooth material. it would slide right off, not matter what was protecting the top of it. The "trick" is bonding the paint to the plastic. Scuffing up the plastic and good paint will help that.
-
nothing you put OVER the paint job is really going to help it adhere to the plastic under the paint job. In the future, I suggest prepping your figures for paint (high grit sand paper, cleaning, etc) as well as using a strong plastic adhering paint (I prefer lacquers and enamels) Krylon also makes some paints specifically made for plastic adhesion, called "fusion"

Masterpiece Sunstorm by frenzy_rumble

dumb? hardly. that's your opinion, and from what I've read across the majority of TF fan board, it's by itself. I know Sunstorm isn't a rainmaker. He's not yellow either. He's orange. Like sunstorm. Guy who won the auction for $1305 loves it. As did 4 other people who commissioned identical customs (with "stupid camo" pattern) Tell you what. Shoot me a PM with paypal info, and I will commission that from you. I'm willing to bet twice my money back that mine blows yours out of the water. ;) -

no, the plastic is surprisingly a good strong quality plastic. That and the fact much of it was reinforced with epoxy clay and new joints/parts. -

yeah, right. lol. I can do fun stuff once in a while, no? -
All the parts used are from other TFs. I didn't cast any parts for these. Terrorcons are still being worked on. Here are some alt mode pics of these guys:
