And there was much re-jazzing

Wasn't it more that that was his only real option? I think he only picked the Solstice because that was the only Jazz-like car available to him from GM.

And FYI, knowing Bay, that is probably the most compelling reason why Jazz was killed / probably won't be back.

...or he didn't want to pay for a 'Vette.

Yeah...he wanted to keep Bumblebee as the smallest member of the crew as well. Bay had to settle.

You heard it here first... BLASTER!!!Kind of funny how he is one of the few original characters that survived the animated movie only to DIE in the live action.

Echoing this sentiment, don't forget, Darius McCrary is a VOICE actor (it isn't like they rotoscoped his face/vocal inflections onto Jazz's) - I'd assume he's talented enough to play a different character, and maybe Bay liked working with him...

I like the Marvel interpretation of Shockwave. Cold, calculating, unemotive.

Exactly. He was a bad mutherPowerglideer.

Except that he said he was in talks to reprise his role as Jazz.

"Talks"...it could lead to other things.

Speculate away, if you feel that it supports your invalid point. :tflaugh
