Well this sucks. Now there's really no emotional investment in the characters, if they can just be brought back to life.

Hopefully Mr. McCrary's role as Jazz will be limited to flashbacks and the like.

Or maybe Jazz's inclusion in TF2 isn't confirmed. It just said he's "in talks."

That could just mean he's informed Paramount and/or Dreamworks that he's intrested in returning as Jazz, but they may not take him up on his offer depending on the script, which BTW, hasn't even been written yet.

It turns out that Jazz left behind a series of tapes and letters so that, in the event of his own death, Ratchet could learn to live again. :emo :tfsad

Pete, it took me a second, but yes... this is acceptable.

now if you don't mind.

I love to sing-a, about the moon-a, and the june-a, and the spring-a!

Like Jazz's death was all that emotional in the first place. Face it, his death was completely pointless and served no purpose for the plot. Like ripping a little silver midget in half is any great indicator of Megatron's strength.

It doesn't matter, the fact of the matter is that he's dead. What they do with him will set a precedent for how they handle, and how we react to, future deaths. If they bring back Jazz then why should I care if say, Ironhide, dies? The amount of emotion surrounding Jazz's death doesn't matter. The fact that he did die is what's important. If he stays dead then future deaths that have more of an emotional buildup will have actual meaning. If they bring Jazz back then future deaths, regardless of how much they build them up, will mean nothing.

baloney. One line such as "well, Jazz was ripped in half but his lasercore is intact" would allow for later deaths to be permanent.

I agree with Icecap. The movie went out with Jazz dead and gone. If he had come back before the movie ended, that would be one thing. But this would seriously undercut whatever emotional resonance Jazz' death had... not that there was a whole lot as it played, anyway.

The broader implication is more interesting to me... we've been saying that they can't do the Constructicons or Combaticons now b/c Bonecrusher & Brawlistator are dead. Well, maybe they are and maybe they aren't.
