Do you agree with KO's ????

Recommended Posts

That's because KOs is intellectual theft, and not physical theft. But at the end of the day, stealing is stealing, whether it's physical or intellectual.

There's a reason why we have copyright laws. ;)

Yes, and that's all that one needs to say about this from a legal standpoint. I think it most applies to the KO reissues, such as Mirage, Swoop, etc, because they are being packaged and sold as such. It's one thing to make the millionth KO of Devastator and call it, "Superchange Constructor Robot," and sell it for $10. It's quite another to make a replica of an original toy and copy Hasbro's original packaging and sell it as if it were a suitable alternative to the real thing.

Wow, so your entire view on why we shouldn't do bad things is because you think you'll get punished later on? Next time I need someone to help me, you'll be the last person I think of.

No,what I meant was that WHEN someone steals from YOU in the future it will be Karma, and Justice biting you in the ASS!

No, it'll just be someone stealing from me. Nothing to do with Karma or Justice. Justice is not a force of nature, but a product of man to allow him to gain retribution without creating a new criminal or going too far. Justice would be HasTakTomy winning a case against people who make/distribute knockoffs of their product. Justice would NOT be HasTakTomy going after people who bought KO's.

And as far as Karma goes, we all have our own interpretation of it.

Three things about Karma that bug me, though:

1. Most people forget that one of the signs of the end of the world, according to Dharmic religions, Karma will be turned upside down and it will reward those who are evil and punish those who are good.

2. There ought to be a better reason to be a good man in life besides getting rewards (in Karma's case, good things happen to you and you get reincarnated to a higher form. In other religions, like Catholicism, eternal blissful life. I myself am a Catholic, but I do nothing in this world for the mere sake of going to Heaven)

3. Just because YOU believe in Karma doesn't mean I do. Leave me alone about it, people of the world! ALL you're doing is annoying me! You'll never convert me! And actually, this goes to ALL evangelists in the world, not just Dharmic ones but Abraham descendant religions along with all other religions as well.

Now let's leave religion out of this. We all have our own beliefs and it's no one's job to change each others' beliefs. Beliefs are not sound arguments. Our debate is already shaky enough on solid arguments as it is. When debating morals/ethics religion and beliefs are bound to come up, I know, but those should not be our focus any more than neccesary.

By the way, now that we've brought up justice, let me nip a small side argument in the bud before it comes up: Justice does not equal fairness. Here's my proof: In Wekillourcitizensland, everyone brought to court on criminal charges is sentenced to death, no matter the verdict by the jury. The system is FAIR as all people are treated the same, but as you will notice, it is completely devoid of... Justice.

Czarcher: There's no need for you to flame Yuyuyami. You're welcome to disagree but it's unnecessary to personally attack him. Attack the argument, not the person. If you want to come here and be a flamer then kindly piss off.

Yuyuyami: I recommend you don't dignify Czarcher's flames by responding to them. He's just seeking attention and isn't really interested in engaging you in a proper debate/discussion.

Moderator please?

Ko sux!

Yeah, I probably shouldn't have responded to him, but there WERE some points I wanted to address anyway and he presented me with a good opening. The one about not liking people who try to convert me was off topic, I know.

I'm not trying to 'convert' you.

I just think it's Blotty and pathetic you have to go the route of buying stolen property to save a buck.

AND you're totally cool with it,and support it -??? WTF ??

So how about this one then - WHAT GOES AROUND,COMES AROUND.

You know there is a bit of some interesting KO that make it worthwhile as a collector. Interesting combinations of parts, combined with the fact that often times some of the good KOs are produced in small quantities makes for highly collectible figures.

What goes around doesn't always come around.

And I never said I was fine with the person stealing, I'm just fine with buying stolen items. If you think I meant that I rooted for people stealing, then you missed the entire point of almost all of my previous arguments.

And I never said you were, but my statement still stands.

Oh hurrah, you've now gone from direct flaming to indirect flame-baiting. *sigh*

As I said before, you are welcome to disagree with other users like Yuyuyami - in fact, I share your opinion on KOs in general - but what I can't stand is the way that you keep attacking Yuyuyami's character. There's no need for it. No matter how much you may abhor his purchasing practices, it does NOT justify you trying to assassinate his character. That is FLAMING and when you try to do it in more indirect subtle ways by using words like "pathetic" and harping on about how karma is going to exact vengeance on him etc - that's flame-baiting (borderline actual flaming).

STOP IT.

This is the last time I am going to tell you. If I see you flaming or flame-baiting anyone again I will not hesitate to report your posts.

Your behaviour has been nothing more than selfish, inconsiderate and it makes you look really emotionally immature. Do yourself a favour and clean up your act.

You can strongly and vehemently disagree with Yuyuyami all you like - so long as you attack his arguments and the issue at hand WITHOUT attacking the actual person.
