MP-SS and a word to the wise

Recommended Posts

i looked at mine and the reason these keep breaking is that there is a "designed line" where it breaks... by that i mean there are "lines" all over his that make the details of metal paneling and such, and there is a line where these seem to be breaking... i would think just dab a tiny amount of super glue on the spot before transforming would do the trick.

say, is there anything inside the cardboard base of the packaging?

no idea... i didn't want to destroy the box as it may be a keeper...

i try to keep all my packaging (esp since they're now making packaging that can be easily reclosed), but screamers is esp nice. i love the classics packaging, but i was just curious if anybody had opened it.

I concur, after seeing these threads crop up again, I looked super closely at my MP-3 last night for the first time in a while and noticed a tiny stress mark within the panel line of one joint. :grr

I got mine yesterday as well. It has stress marks at the hinge point were the wing folds up (My MP-3 does not). The over-all fit in Alt. mode is poor (MP-3 fits perfectly). Paint apps. are questionable. The only this this release has over MP-3 is the accurate color scheme. I give it a 5.5. My "Greenscream" Is a solid 9.0

I disagree heavily. The paint apps on my Mp-03 were poor as they were cracking and flaking out of the box. The overall fit in alt mode is the same as my MP-03. The mold in and of itself is just simply finnicky and you have to get everything just right. More to the point,...same toy, same issues and only the paint has changed.

yea, sounds alot like an alternator. i fiddled with mine and get a better fit every time i transform him. i'm equally enamored with both modes which really sucks because now i want two >_>

the thing i'm most annoyed with is the whole tail fin assembly things and the way it limits leg articulation. luckily if you use the stand you can just take them off the ball joints and attach them to the ankles. now i DEFINITELY want skywarp now, i hope to hell hasbro releases both skywarp and thundercracker (srsly, you know he's coming).

I absolutely love this mold. Even with it's glaring flaws. So much so that I have Skywarp currently in the mail and plans to go get another MPSS within the week.

Wow, now that's dedication. I'd like this mold better if it was the same size as Prime and Megs in robot mode.

just fooling with my ss's hand and saw that it came packaged with the fingers upside down. i had a blond moment and popped the balljoint out when i could have just flipped them over -_-

Now that's funny. I really had to do that with Titantium WW Prime. In package, his torso was facing backward and his legs were attached to the wrong hips.

Thanks for the heads up. I do notice one slight stress mark now that you bring it to my attention. I'm usually pretty careful to begin with, so I'm not that worried about it. I'm just wondering why the connector tab hinges are black in color.
