MP-SS and a word to the wise

Recommended Posts

got my WM Starscream the other day and have to agree with others, he really is an impressive mold. However, the plastic feels like a model kit so whenever i transform him, i take my time. I usually transform my figures once or twice and leave them displayed. haven't noticed any stress marks, yet but just in case i think i might pick up another to keep sealed cause they had quite a few.

I've used an exacto knife on the joints of the wings as shown and mentioned. It has worked great! The stress put on the wings before this was very nerve racking. Not now. It moves with ease and I am not too worried about it, but I still use caution.

Also,I used the knife on the front of the air brake panel because I couldn't find any sand paper in my house. It has worked good. Not great, but good. My MP SS still has the problem of not being flush, but it has helped.

Finally, I attempted the arm drilling mod to make the jet mode flush in that part and it has only moderately helped. It doesn't really bother me too much anyways.

I actually like the silver coloring and the weathered look of the figure. It makes it more of a masterpiece IMHO. Plus, I'd be afraid to put any chemicals on this toy anyways because of all the horror stories.

Now I want Skywarp!

You have his fingers backwards.

You have his fingers backwards.

I don't think so.

I don't think so.

Um...yeah they are, they were backwords in the box

There's a reason why they bend easier backwards than inwards.

Well I transformed mine back into jet mode the other day and sure enough there is one stress mark on his left wing joint. Naturally I'm a little PO'd but I'm going to have get over it, but on top of that, my 20th Anniversary Prime's Megatron broke so I can't give it to Starscream. :tdown

Oh! I see what you're saying. The thing is, it looks like his finger nails are those little slants at the fingertips, so to me it looks correct because the "nails" are on the outside.

I guess I could pull them out and switch them, but I like it this way, so no worries.

Maybe it's a stiffer grip so he can hold megatron with it this way? I dunno.
