Is longarm's alt mode the same truck mikaela used in the movie to carry bumblebee?

It's obviously intended to be, but:

 

1 ) The truck mode is not exact, because they didn't liscense that kind of truck

 

2 ) In the movie the truck says "Mike's Towing", Longarm says "Orsons Towing"

 

3 ) There's a pack coming out with Longarm and a figure of a legless Bumblebee ("I'll drive - you shoot!") where Longarm is painted EXACTLY like the tow truck from the movie.

The Orson's towing is obviously a tribute to Orson Welles. I'm guessing anyway.

Aaron Archer posted on a TF board with a screen name based around "Orson" (I forget exactly what the full screen name was). The toy is a Aaron Archer screen name tribute, although it is possible his screen name was derived from Welles, and is therefore a Welles tribute by proxy.

interesting note on longarm (at least it is to me). at first i thought the lightbar looked retarded on the post like that instead of being on the cab, but recently i saw an actual tow truck with the lightbar positioned mounted in the same manor.

Just a comment: I don't believe that Last Stand Longarm is painted exactly like the Tow Truck in the movie. He still has an Autobot insignia in truck mode, and I doubt that the one in the movie had such an insignia.

 

Hm. They should make an Arcee Scene Battlers, with a Lennox figure that can ride her, and Arcee in more standard colors. Should also have a Sam with the Allspark, and the defense secretary. That'd be a great set.

i'm still waiting on a decent sized allspark replica. i'm surprised they didn't make one.

I've passed on Longarm so far because, to me, he resembles a Dodge truck.

In the movie I think it's an older (late 80's maybe?) GMC heavy duty truck.

Someone needs to repaint longarm as G1 Hoist or something.. he already looks a bit like him.
