I just like to think Magneto threw Wolverine all the way back to New York.

:lol

You either loved the movie 100% or you hated it 100%.

but i fall into the "liked it 90%" though. so it IS possible

I meant how people's opinions of the movie were perceived during the OMG MOVIE craziness. There was a lot of "if you (like/don't like) the TF movie, the terrorists win" going on.

They didn't?

Well it didn't help that I kept ending every post with "Die Infidels!".

The Transformers movie is like Highlander 2, it's kind of cool but still has some stupid parts, but I mostly like it because Sean Connery is delightful to watch.

OMG it's not that bad :lol

I mean, if you like that movie that's cool <_<

All I know is, everyone will be rushing out to buy the most l33t version on DVD in two weeks.

This comment would be an example of the soul-wearying polarized mindset I was referring to... there is a spectrum of opinion on the movie, not just two buckets with "hate" on one and "love" on the other. Goodness knows we don't only ever buy something if we totally completely absolutely love it 100%.

Well, I think the whole reason why Highlander 2 had such a rotten story is that they wanted some way to bring back Ramirez (Sean Connery). They made up this whole "exiled aliens from another planet who are somehow immortal on Earth, but if they die they are sent back to their planet and if they are desperately needed, one can merely bring them back by yelling their name really loud," nonsense just so that people wouldn't say, "hey, didn't Ramirez die in the first movie?"

So, in the end, both Sean Connery as Ramirez and the Transformers themselves are both delightful to watch and the highlights of an otherwise "okay" (at least on the part of the Transformers) movie.
